Honestly, I don't know. If it was on the PS4, that would mean they'd skip an entire gaming generation, and I don't know how I feel about that. I guess it personally doens't matter to me as i'll have having both a PS3/PS4 (I'll be nabbibng one as soon as it comes out, granted as long as its out after October 1st this year, which it probably will be). It, more than likely, will have a port to the 360 in the US/Europe tho, as that's what they did to XIII/XIII-2. I highly highly doubt it'll appear on any nintendo console, but I could be wrong.

Okay, hate me, but im going to bump this. Now that we KNOW the PS4 is going to be released late this year/early next year, with Microsoft sure to follow, it's pretty much a given we're talking next gen. Personally, I got fed up with waiting and bought a 360 last year, mainly because that was what my friends had, and i wanted to be able to play online with them. A year ago, I would have told you the next KH would be on the Sony platform, but honestly, after owning the 360 and seeing all the consoles the KH series has spread to...what exactly is wrong with putting it out on the next Xbox as well? Doesn't it make the most sense from a business perspective for Square?

 

If they make it for the ps4 i quit :(. i bought a ps3 last year for mainly 3 reasons, KH/FFX remix. FF vs 13 and for KH3. ill be sooo pissed if it ps4 only

 

And you're not the only one. IMO, Square has really been dropping the ball for the PS3 generation. Their team has been lined up to create the same 2 games for the last six years. I'm sorry, but there's a fine line between 'filling in the story' and over saturation of spin-offs. I get it, we're just the audience, and i realize I am not writing the checks or on the work force for the new game, but as that audience, we have really been taken advantage of over the past few years, the least we can get is at least SOME sign that there is any progress at all being made. Look at us, a lot of us started playing when we were 8-12 years old, (at least I did), and now we're getting into our twenties and we are still waiting for the third main title. Honestly, Square is going down a road, especially with their FF and KH titles that is going to completely kill off their fanbase if they don't start turning out legitimate titles. Which would suck, considering no fan base=no games. Not saying that some of the spin offs have been really bad or anything, but come on; enough is enough. A lot of KH fans bought a PS3 solely for games that Square has had in development, and now they've missed a whole console generation for these titles, and pissed off more than enough fans as a direct result of it. Yes the Video Game market is rough now. It's time for Square to step up to the plate and remind us why we've sworn by them for years, and also remind us what they can do when they try.

I personally feel like they want the anticipation to kill us >.< its like.. gimme some news or screenshots or gameplay, or e ven just a 5 second teaser, something to give us hope that they havnt just forgot about it.

 

Agreed. Level with us at least a little. That way we can save our money on a PS4 and start saving for a PS5, because thats what it feels like right now. Nomura must think I have pretty deep pockets if he expects me to buy every system for the possiblility of a KH title.

 

There are certain adventages of making a exclusive title, first obviously you have a friendly treatment with the console (Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft), you then become an "Flag" of that console, what would be of Nintendo without : Pokemon, Zelda, Mario ? What would be of Ps3 without: Uncharted, GOD OF WAR, INFamous , Microsoft without: Gears of wars, Halo ?
This games sell the console, and because of that they receive huge contracts for being exclusive. In the end of the day we buy consoles over games, and the way we will have fun using it that could not be achieved anywere else.

So even though is possible that KH do go to Xbox at some point, right now is almost impossible, they could make the game Playstation exclusive and than making a Xbox version way after, but the main problem is one thing and one thing only: JAPONESE HATE XBOX.

So even though the WiiU is probably waaay weaker than the next Xbox, it will still have more love among the Japonese people, than the Next Xbox (if things don't change), Square being a Japonese company probably wouldn't want that their game sold poorly on their own lands, and thus would prefer to port it to WiiU/Ps3/Ps4 than to a Xbox. Sorry bro.
