Kingdom Hearts III What do you think KH III will be on?

I have to agree with Smiggles on this. There was a linked trailer for FFXV earlier that said PS3 as well as WiiU but I think that was just a fake trailer.

 

I'm hoping that doesn't turn out to be true, because if it does I have no chance of playing KHIII.

I personally think it will be a PS3 exclusive. I don't think the PS3 will be completely dying anytime soon. It probably won't have the lifespan of the PS2 but I think it'll still be kicking and games for it might still be released when the PS4 comes out. Maybe KH3 will be one of those games. Japanese companies don't seem to think about always using the newest console for their games. Take Gamefreak for example. They made Pokemon Black and White 2 for the regular DS instead of the 3DS despite the 3DS already being out for a year and having much more potential.

I don't really see multiplatform being an option because in Japan, the market that Square will primarily cater to, Sony is the biggest market for KH and FF from the looks of it. While I can see it being for the WiiU since Nintendo is also pretty big and well known, I can't see it going well for the Xbox. Take Final Fantasy XIII for example. 1.5 millions copies of the PS3 version were sold in Japan on the day it was released while the Xbox version only sold almost...9000...yeah.

Anyway, I bet it's gonna be on the Xbox360 or the Ps3. I just think there's not much of a chance of KHIII being on the WiiU.
But if we wait 2 years and still no KH3, I'll start thinking of the 3rd Xbox.

 

I'm not too sure. Square might go Multi-platform for xbox360 and ps3, Though there hasn't really been any other multi-platform game in the KH series (not including KH RE:COM since it was a remake) but, theres too many factors for me to actually make a presumption. Though I hope it is on either ps3 or xbox , I don't like getting involved in these console wars about which console is the best. but since i have both a ps3 and xbox and since I belive that square won't make KH3 on a portable console , i just hope they make it for either ps3 or xbox (though PS3 is more prefered mostly because , for me anyways it seems more customary since the main two kh and kh2 were on a sony console) it seems more fitting for it to be on a PS3.

 

If everything goes the way people are talking when it comes to cloud-based games (it's coming, people) I'm gonna say PS4/5 or whatever Sony'll rebrand Gaikai with. Possible it could come on PS3 if we're lucky but not likely.
Still sucks that XIII Vs is still top-priority. But it's whatever.

I pray that it will be on Xbox360 as well as PS3. That way I will be able to play it. Part of me wishes it would still be on PS2 but it won't happen and at least the graphic should be awesome. If they only do it on PS3 and Wii/WiiU I will be defiantly sad,

I say it would be for the next generation systems like the Wii U, Xbox 720, and PS4. If they were to make it for those systems major adjustments would have to be arranged because the controls will be different on each console. Hopefully Square Enix will announce KH III soon because we have been waiting for this game for a while.

 

I'm not so sure. With Microsoft pushing for a ten year console life span, I could see Sony making their move with a new console very soon.

Maybe Square Enix is doing what Valve is doing, delaying a 3rd game?

But in all seriousness, as nice as it would be for it to be on the PS2, it's severely outdated, and I think it will be on the PS4, or maybe Xbox 360 to pacify the Play Station hating whiners.

Somewhat hoping it becomes available to PC, however, since I'm not a big fan of consoles and never was.

It will be the final game of the Saga and has been on two different companies platforms. I will say both the PS3 and WiiU. Or they could be mean and put it on the 360 just to force you to buy another system.
