Birth by Sleep What do you like about the KH series? (important question)

I am posting it in the Upcoming Kingdom Hearts section because I think the new games should count as well. Some folks don't seem to understand why us fans are so excited for the new games, like this kid here: http://forums.khinsider.com/future-kingdom-hearts/104717-does-kingdom-hearts-suck.html
And people wonder why KH2 Final Mix+ never came outside of Japan. Sheesh! That's why I think that this is important.
So I'll start:

• I like the overall story. It is entertaining, and most of all it's fairly lighthearted. It's not dark or violent. It's just right. (I feel like GoldyLocks XD)
• As a girl, I don't really like seeing female characters wearing, er how should I say, PRACTICALLY NOTHING! Although some people might say KH2 Kairi's dress is rather short, it really is not bad compared to, let's say, Dead or Alive characters. (seriously)
• DISNEY CHARACTERS!!!! 8D That's how I came to first play Kingdom Hearts. My cousins recommended it to me because they knew I liked Disney. Kudos cousins! >3<
• Organization 13: seriously, that bunch is the best group of villians (or are they?) that I have ever seen in a video game...beside Sephiroth. He's pretty kick-ass, too.
• I haven't the time to play super-long epic games like the Final Fantasy series, so I am thankfull for the apperances of some of the characters in the KH series.
• I like the overall gameplay. I happen to SUCK at playing any video games. The gameplay in KH is very easy to understand, and it isn't so hard that nOObs like me can't beat it. YAY!
• The voice acting, especially in KH2, is PHENOMINAL for a video game. Most of the other video games that I have played have really crappy voice acting.
• The original characters, like Sora, Kairi, Riku, Org.13, etc., are great. Tetsuya Nomura did a wonderfull job with their creation, and I can't wait to see what the new characters are like!
• The music is absolutely beautiful! Shimomura does a wonderfull job with composing the music. Though I do wish she would use some more Disney songs for the worlds' music.

Anyway, what do you guys think? And please don't be shy to share what you don't like, too! There's always at least two sides to everything.

-->battle system. One of the best I've ever played, yet also very unique. Kh is truly a gem when it comes to this...

-->clothing/"hip" way of dressing. Everyone, including mickey, donald and goofy, got "new duds" or whatever. It looked pretty cool to me...especially with SRK. Some games show you have to wear some special jump suit or a suit of armor to fight with "swords"...everyone just fought with what they had on at the moment...

-->story...yeah, it was corny, and there were moments when I wanted to throw up coughATLANTICAcough, but one of the main reasons why I have an account on this site is that I want to find out what happens next, haha

 

i really...couldnt tell u why i LOVE the KH series....i guess im a sucker for a really good RP series
i do enjoy Final Fantasy but theres somthing that i get in KH that i dont get from FF,the whole disney thing u think would be werid...but i love that its kinda cool
the orignal characters are AMAZING! and the story ROCKS! its kinda darker in KH2 but thats ok!
i love how its getting more and more deeper into everything and i really love how the fact that BBS looks...almost more adult than KH1 and KH2 i dont know the story seems more...older(but maybe thats just me)

Ha! I had trouble playing through the Atlantica section because I was laughing through most of it. I couldn't concentrate! D:

 

1) I absolutely love the Organization! All of the original characters in Kingdom Hearts are very cool. I also like how they mix in characters from other games/stories too.

2) The skills you can use! I love using Sora's forms, summons, and all those finishing techniques.

3) Attention to detail in the game. You ever notice all those little hearts that float away when you kill heartless? I love watching them float away lol. Did you notice that the shadows don't have hearts that float away though? Seems like they are only made of darkness or something, I wonder why, must be because they are the lowest level of heartless or something.

4) Gummi Ship! I love flying the gummi ship, makes for a pretty fun minigame.

[they are in no particular order, except for the 1st one]

1. ORGANIZATION XIII: the best possible group of bad guys EVER!

2. GOOD STORY LINE: simply amazing, and I really do hope for a 3rd game. I'm a sucker for anime and this game was just awesome (right next to FF) I love them both equally.

3. AWESOME BATTLE SYSTEM: oh yea... and sometimes. Great stuff here. The battles are just awesome. I love the challenges the game presents with the bosses, and some of the challenges they give seem like they are virtually impossible. I mean who doesn't love a challenge right?

4. VERY WELL DEVELOPED CHARACTERS: I was intrigued. They characters are to die for.

5. MUSIC: I've been brainwashed by their music and I own them all too. xD

6. WORLDS: so many places! I loved it! except for ATLANTICA in KH2. It was ok in KH... I died playing ATLANTICA... I died of laughter.

7. VOICES: I was amazed to hear their voices. I love them so, so, so, so, so freaking much! =D

8. MYSTERY: although the game was quite clear in itself, but there were a couple of ideas, thoughts and expressions which were left unsaid and they amuse me.

9. CONTROVERSY: the whole JUSTIFICATION thing. who was rightfully on their place?


that's all I can think/come up with for now.

 

Story - I'm surprised of how complex it's gotten, and with these three games coming out (especially Birth by Sleep), the story will get even better (and darker in some aspects), and hopefully as a result, they'll drop most of the cheesy jokes! The dialogue may sometimes be corny, but the general story is just so cool. The mixture of Disney with it all is just great.

Gameplay - To be honest, I've never played another game with a battle system more fun than KH's. It's just the originality of the idea and the fluidity of the characters' moves that make it different from other games. Most kids' games usually have the tedious "press square to attack" system, and the combo system (ex. square-square-circle-triangle) gets a bit boring after a while. Most of SE's other games' battle systems are a tad too complicated (and rather slow), but KH's is just great.

Graphics - Like before, fluid movements, and the facial expressions really enhance the mood of the situation.

Music - Besides the frequent repeating of tracks, Ms. Shimomura's creations are so well made, especially the boss musics. Sometimes, you may not be able to concentrate on the battle because the music just sounds so good (happened a few times to me)! XD

Voices - The actors' voices really match the character they play. And I'm glad SE got to hire professionals (Christopher Lee, for example).
