That you ever heard in video games? It can be creepy, scary or just weird.

Mine would have to be from Pokemon Silver: Drowzee: A psychic that eats dreams. He prefers children's because they're much more tastier.

Quick question, does a game ending count?

Sure, what the hell, why not.

I have to admit, one of the weirdest endings I've ever seen is Bionic Commando. Anyone who's played it has some idea what I'm talking about. KEEP IT WITH A SPOILER TAG!!!

Well the ending in question is Drakengard's E Ending which also happens to be in canon with the game Neir.

All you need to know is that in that ending of Drakengard, the hero and his dragon aborted the pregnancy of a giant cannibal space baby spawning pan-dimensional cosmic horror by slamming into it so hard it knocked them into another dimension. Our dimension... Shinjuku Tokyo, Japan to be precise.

They then had a high stakes rhythm game battle above the skies of Tokyo wherein the giant mother monster was destroyed. The monster disintegrated and the day was saved. Also, the Japanese Airforce rolled in and shot down and killed the hero and his dragon with a missile strike. Said dragon's corpse was then impaled on Tokyo Tower. The End.

...Ok yeah that game is significantly weirder than I first thought.

Anodyne is full of moments like this, but a few stick out from the early portions of the game. The Beach/Sea segment is the first time , and it's very possible to do it by accident. However, it is also necessary to progress, which raises disturbing implications since the whole of the game seems to be . The attached dungeon, Grotto, earns a mention as well; whereas the rest of the game thus far is at worst mildly unnerving, the Grotto cracks open the creepy shell when

And when you reach the halfway point, you can revisit the Grotto to get to several more areas which seem to be actively trying to top each other for sheer weirdness. Not a game for the faint of heart, to be sure.

    That moment when . . .

I realized Piers wasn't making it out of the underwater base, and that his whole character build up was for that ending. It was both sad and weird at the same time. Honestly, why would you have a build up of a character the audience/player is going to fall in love with just to kill them off at the end of the game?

Really? I didn't like him at all. Well then again I didn't expect the ending either, but IMO, I think the Chris arc of the campaign was my least favorite.

One of the weirdest things I have ever encountered in a video game is Cubone's Pokédex entry:

    Like, seriously. WTF.

I know a few, Girahim from Skyward Sword, he is the creepiest thing you have ever seen, he has a super creepy laugh, likes to flail his tongue all over the place, and he likes wearing really tight clothing, another weird thing in a game is the ghost from Hit man, In Hit man Contracts,if you run through a hallway quickly enough, after passing through a number of double doors, on the mission "Traditions of the train" you will be able to spot a ghost, it is invincible, but if you are really quick you can strangle it with fiber wire, I think this is a glitch however. The ghost leaves blood stains on the walls whenever you try to damage it, and whenever you look in the bathroom mirror, you can see the ghost behind you, and staring at you.

This isn't really disturbing the the conventional sense of the word disturbing, but it is. In Conker's Bad Fur Day, one of the bosses is a giant lump of crap called "The Geat Mighty Poo". This boss sings opera, adding an extra verse for when damage is done, and at the beginning and end of the battle, when you do defeat him you have to flush him down the drain, and throw toilet paper in his mouth. yeaaaa.
    (I couldn't find a better quality video.)

The ending of Monkey Island 2.

...An honest to goodness mindscrew. Completely left-field too; it was just bizarre lol. Probably qualifies as weirdest for me.

After the final boss/puzzle, Guybrush pulls a mask off of LeChuck's face which reveals he's actually 'his evil brother Chuckie,' and then... A random guy walks in and yells at 'you kids' to 'get out of here'. The game cuts to Guybrush and LeChuck, now children, wandering out of a building in an amusement park to where their parents are waiting. As in, the game implies everything was a fantasy thought up by some kid (Guybrush) when he got lost at an amusement park.
To make things worse, as the screen fades out kid!LeChuck shoots an evil glare at the screen and his eyes flash red, and then after the credits we see Elaine in the forest wondering where Guybrush is and talking about how she hopes he wasn't put under some kind of evil spell by LeChuck. So it COULD be that this was some kid's fantasy... it could ALSO very well be that LeChuck did something to trick Guybrush.
The game came out in 1991 and even now no one knows for sure, because the original creator left LucasArts before the third Monkey Island game could be made and took that answer with him. The third game that ended up being made was created by different people and isn't really regarded as canon by fans, but it took the 'evil spell' route.

I personally liked the mind-screwiness of it all but a lot of fans are rather upset MI2 ended the way it did, lol.
