    Sticky Notes are to inform you of the importance of that thread (usually containing the rules of each section, or important updates).

    User Notes are for the members own enjoyment, and can be seen as an alternative to a Private Message (PM) or a Visitor Message (VM).

    A user note is basically like a VM that isn't displayed openly on your profile. However they are still public so other members can still view them.
