This probably is the wrong place for this question but what about Naminie she is a human shaped Nobody so why isn't she a member of the organisation and also her name why isn't an anagram of Kiari with an "x" in it please tell me it's driving me nuts!? lol

Ahem, can I ask you perhaps how are namine's fighting skills?

    Thought so.

Since she is so uh... weak? the organization opted not to make her part of the organization, and just use her powers (or else?)

Besides, when have you ever seen more than 13 seats in this room?

I'm pretty sure Kagato is right there. As for the name thing, it'd be hard to turn the name "Kairi" into one with changed lettering with an X in there and still make it sound good. Although, I did look up "Namine" and "Kairi" on Google for name meanings and here's what I got. "Kairi" means "Sea village" while "Nami" means "wave". I hope that makes sense and helps at least a little bit.

I believe it was said in the Ansem Reports in KHII that Naminé was not made apart of Organization XIII because she was not born the same way other nobodies were; not only that, but she is Kairi's nobody, and as Kairi is a Princess of Heart, she has no darkness in her heart. The Organization never took Naminé in, and she therefore never got one of the Organizations' anagram names.

Firstly, I would like to point out that she is not 100% helpless. She has the ability to smash hearts; she exhibits this ability in KH Chain of Memories when she crushes the replicas heart. And the fact that there are only 13 thrones didn't stop XIV from joining lol
I think Xikari would have worked nicely.
I am not sure if I'm understanding what you are trying to say by saying Kairi has no darkness in her heart... Nobodies don't have hearts...

In Kingdom Hearts 1, Kairi lost her heart twice technically.

The first time was at Destiny Islands when the world was consumed into the darkness - Kairi lost her heart, but it wound up hitching a ride with Sora's heart. Since Kairi's heart hadn't been let loose to become a heartless (or whatever the case may be in her situation), her body and soul remained intact but inactive.

The second time was at Hollow Bastion, when Sora unlocked his own heart's darkness - by giving his heart into the darkness, he also gave Kairi's heart in to the darkness - or what non-existant darkness there was in her heart. It was at this moment that Namine was born. Because Namine came from Kairis heart stored within Sora, Namine is able to manipulate the memories of Sora and those connected to him.

    omg that makes perfect sense
Because memories are in the heart! :O
Thanks so much for that explanation!
But I still don't understand what kept them from letting her in Org. XIII.

Namine was just a tool for the Organization - just another cog in their Kingdom Hearts machinations; nothing more, nothing less. With an inability to fight, they used her only real talents, those of rearanging Sora's memory.

    The real answer is
because when has there ever been more than 13 seats? Roxas the fighter made it in, but Namine did not.

Saix has a point (or was it Xemnas who said that), but the question remains - HOW did Xemnas know 13 - it's undeniable that the Organization was created prior to the events at the end of KH1, so how Xemnas knew to build exactly 13 chairs is curious.

Maybe Xemnas decided that 13 was an COOL number, hence decided to use it.

I always thought thrones popped out every time a new "real" member joined

As for the name... well perhaps they were only known as "The organization" until Roxas joined.

Basically, they were constantly looking for new members, in hopes to find the keyblade's chosen one; the one with the ability to gather hearts

Roxas joined, they have their keyblade, so we're no longer looking for new recruits, change name to organization XIII.

(well that's what I think about it anyway)
