I wonder,

I know that there has been alot of spam in a series of fan fics, and it got me thinking: how is the best way to keep this in check without bringing in mods and staff.

What if we were to create a sub section either in the Creativity Corner, or the Spam zone, where members would be able to spam about stories as much as they wanted while keeping the original stories generally free of spam and a place where writers can post their works and accept clear and precise critique given by readers who actually have suggestions on writing styles, grammar, etc.

I know this sounds unnecessary and redundant, but something needs to be done, because a number of members are becoming tired of the spam that is filling up the CC.

So i suppose, either a section to spam, or maybe a dedicated section staff?

Well you see Versuvio, when a writer makes a story, some people post comments on it or recommendations , but sometimes some writers don't like it when people post things like, "great" or "I need to read more" or something more off-topic. What they do appreciate is you telling them exactly how they can improve or things to that affair. But in regards to that, its kinda up to the poster.

I don't really think that can be changed.

 

Quite a few writers there like to have the comments done so they can see what people think and all. Some writers who don't could just type in 'please do not comment here and PM me with suggestions or opinions' and then if someone does still post there, could probably get an admin/mod to delete those posts.

I do see why you are asking for an alternate area in CC to be made so that comments can be done elsewhere and the stories themselves are untampered with and easy to read for those perusing them. PM seems the only way unless the suggestion for a sub-forum would go over. I'm not sure right now how I feel about it so will leave that alone for a bit and ponder on it. I could go either way at the time.

 

I don't think having a spam section wouldn't be a good idea because most of the time spam=off topic= so far from the topic Pluto looks closer to it. It would just be another spam/playground zone.

 

Maybe people could even use the Spam Zone to comment on the stories and that would solve the issue. Some of us already do that any way.
