Don't you think they might have gained their elements after becomming nobodies? that's what I think might be the case, they could very well have their elements already but I haven't seen anything to suggest it yet.

I'd say the elements were already there. Xehanort lost his memory= power over the element nothing, Sora, key wielder of light, has the nobody Roxas that has the element light. So it sounds like it was already there.

 

You just picked the two cases in which the Somebodies were special.

 

I think they would've gained their elements as their originals or the SECOND they become nobodies :/
