    My favorite is 4.

Mainly cause I've only played 4-6 and keep telling myself to play 1-3 but never do.

    5 and 6 can burn.

I'm serious. That game is just complete trash, and even I tried to be lenient about judging it.

Five is understandable, but six? They brought back Leon, Chris, and even Ada!! I definitely had to geek when I first played it. Like, most of the legends made their comeback. Though Chris was in the last (numbered) game. Still, it was awesome.

    I'm a complete Wesker fan.
He was the only reason I bought 5.

6 is utter blasphemy for giving him a son. Even an illegitimate one. You want to know why?

Albert freaking Wesker is a freaking Sociopath. He showed no canon inclination toward that sort of behavior before then.

That's why I don't acknowledge Jake's existence on most days. And when I do, I'm convinced he's whining for attention.

4 will always be the best.

And Silent Hill: Homecoming had Pyramid Head show up. Does that make the game good? No.

Did people "geek out" when he showed up? The answer is of course:

You can have as many memorable characters show up but it doesn't make it good.

    That said:

You sir do not know me very well.

No, old characters/favs don't make a game good, a good game makes a game good. I thought RE6 was top notch. Still doesn't compare to RE4, but still. When I get not only one but four story lines that occasionally intersect, that makes me happy. Oh, that's not including the additional story line you get for beating the rest. Oh, let's not forget online co-op with up to four people, though honestly I only use that when I want to mess with people and throw their game off XD.

As for Silent Hill, never played it, don't care.

Too bad RE6 is so far from being good that I had to force myself to finish it. At least 5 was functional and, for the most part, entertaining. I tried to defend 6 when I first got it, but it just has terrible pacing, ridiculously overpowered melee moves that I constantly abused, forgettable enemy designs controlled by lame AI who constantly leave a dying character just lying there, stupid "puzzles," boring shooting, an FPS-style skill system that makes no sense with a SURVIVAL HORROR GAME (even 4 and 5 didn't go this far), the inventory system is outdated and ineffective (even more than 5's), MORE QUICK TIME EVENTS, and a complete absence of anything even remotely scary. The only somewhat decently executed campaign was Leon's. Ada's spy mission stops being spy-y the moment you get spotted (immediately), Jake's is a thriller movie with the terrible snow level, and Chris's Rambo-esque BS doesn't work when he's attacked by multiple enemies you can't kill.

It's a decent action game with a horror aesthetic that keeps on insisting that its a survival horror game but that veil is so easy to see through. I really wanted to try liking the game, but even I have my limits. The game has good graphics, and I really liked one of the bosses (won't spoil who it is,) but it needs solid gameplay first.

Play Silent Hill 1-3, at the very least.

My favourite is 3, I think 2 is better written but 3 is more fun to play.

4 is ok, kinda stupid halfway through.

    Homecoming is urk.

Downpour would've been better if it changed just a couple things, main issue enemy design.

This is pretty much exactly my thoughts.

    This is why we're friends.

If only Pyramid Head did a little song and dance when he first showed up in the game.

I get what they were gonig forwith the enemies , a prison theme. But they could have been a little more interesting then "inmate guy with dentist wear on his face" and other things.
