Welcome to the Velvet Room

"What is that's guy's problem? Did someone shove a stick up his butt the size of East Texas or what? Uh, I think my ears are ringing!"

I headed back to my floor and I turned the lights on noticing no one was there.

"Sweet! Whole place to myself! Time to see what my friends are doing!"

Whipping out my laptop I claimed the bed on the left, logged onto the school's network and headed to facebook to check my status.

 

Fire slowly climbed up the stairs huffing and puffing to the floor where the girls' dorms were. She held the paper that told of the room assignments, and as she tried to catch her breath with her gigantic backpack full of her things, she looked at the sheet again. All right. Got it. Walking again, she found the room and quickly but gently unloaded the backpack onto the floor. She straightened her back after the load was off rubbed her shoulder where it ached a little. Ah I brought too many things again... she thought slightly annoyed at herself. After unpacking the basic things, mainly a pillow and some blankets, she quickly headed back down to the lobby, where mostly everyone was and where Mr. Plums was probably going to make an announcement. It's too bad I'm sort of late. Guess I missed out on a chance to make some friends. Ah well. Fire thought as she made her way down. When she arrived back at the lobby, she noticed that there were lots of awkward mingling and introductions. Some shouted by people. Oookay....man there sure are a lot of youngsters here. So short and so cute. Haven't seen the cruelty of the world, with such bright sparks in their eyes....heh. Ah, but there are some veterans, hardened by the rigors of school. Maybe we'll be acquainted later. she thought with a slight smirk that went away almost as quickly as it appeared. Being the antisocial and apparently rude person she was, Fire hung out by the wall, waiting for Plums' announcement. Surprisingly she was just on time and it shocked her how vulgar the RA was. Wow...he really hates this job huh? Listening to his lecture, Fire caught on that her teacher would be Dr. Kitty. Oh sweet. I heard she was fun and awesome. After he was finished, she slowly went up to the third floor once again and began to unpack her clothes and other things. She had already claimed a bed, and there was no rush.

 

After listening to Plum's speech and receiving her room assignments, Heart put her backpack full of stuff on her back and put her suitcase in her hand. "Hey Cat, we're in the same room. Isn't that cool," she said cheerfully. Heart smiled kindly and hoped that she would be good friends with Cat and Tale too. "Hey Tale, I guess I'll see ya to tommorrow them,"she said still smiling.

 

Haseo opened the door to his room. No one was in there yet. Guess I'm the first one here. He put his bag down beside one of the beds, and stretched out on it, letting out a sigh. "That was a such a long ride..."

 

Hmph. That Mr. Plums wasn't polite at all... I then walked into my room, to see that I was the second one here. Hello. Y-you are Haseo, right? I wasn't exactly sure if it was Haseo or the other boy, named Andrew. ​

Haseo sat up, seeing one of his roommates enter the room. "Yeah. Nice to meet you, er..." He adjusted his glasses in embarrassment. He wasn't sure whether this was Krown or Andrew.

 

"Um, I don't think so. At least not formally, I've seen you around SpamZone Plaza though." Andrew admitted embarrassingly. Then an awkward silence fell in between the two. Looking away from Machazo, he said almost inaudibly said, "Erm, well, I guess I'll see you around." Andrew quickly fled back into his corner where his unpacked suitcase lay. He spun around abruptly as Mr. Plums entered the room. He almost tuned out everything he was saying when he realized that he unpacked his suitcase for nothing. Andrew facepalmed himself and he stuffed his clothes in his suitcase in a sloppy manner. He heard his dorm mates named being called, Haseo and Krown, as he scanned the room for them. He and Haseo were pretty close friends, but he'd never met this Krown kid before. He gulped.

At the dorm

Andrew stumbled into the dorm, his suitcase falling out of his hand and bursting open as it hit the ground. He saw that he was the last one the dorm as his breathing returned to normal. He scrambled for his things, cradling them all in his arms as they hung precariously. 'What a way to make an entrance Andrew," he thought angrily. Running to the only non occupied bed, he laid his suitcase and bundle of clothes onto the bed. He turned around and looked at the two others in the room.

Excasr, the 14 years old boy was sit in a chair a bit away from the others. He was a shy boy, but could easily get along with someone if they talk to each other often.
Professor... Mish? I can't forget that..., he thought. Well, he was going to his room. Checked his roommates again. "Soap and burnitup".

When he arrived in the room, a man already was there, but he was listening to music. Excasr took off his headphones and said "Oh. Excuse me... Er... I am Excasr, are you... Soap, right? Nice to meet you". He enters and closes the door, looks at the beds. Two... I will take the one next to the TV..

 

"Geez, what a toughie, interrupting my conversation like that." he thought. "I guess we'll see each other later, Andrew. We should be heading to our rooms." he said with a sad tone. "It was a good idea not to bring much stuff, this bag isn't bothering me at all" he thought, while slowly going up the stairs. "My partner is.... Cryses? Room 3, huh. I should get going."

Whe he arrived, he saw the lights on. "I guess he's already here, I should introduce myself. Hey, I'm Machazo, nice to meetcha!" he said with a smile on his face.

 

Seeing as how perfectly quiet everything was, I decided to take out my sketchbook and pencil to work on some nude poses. Im not the best drawer, but I at least hope to improve.

Just me and my sketchbook and the sound of my pencil moving across the blank paper. Perfect.


"Oh...hi there! You can call me Lawliet" I said to the boy who had just come inside. "Some other time, I guess" I thought to myself.

"So, Mac. What can you tell me about yourself? You're not going to physically abuse me, are you?" I said jokingly while putting away my sketchbook and pencil.

 

Oh... uh... sorry, my name is Krown. I rubbed the back of my head, awkwardly. I then heard a small bang and quickly, I turned around. This must be Andrew. He had dropped some of his belongings onto the floor. You need some help, Andrew? ​

 

"Let's see here," BIU muttered to himself as he walked through the hall on his way to his room. He glanced at the piece of paper in his hand to see what room he was in. "Room 1. My roommates are some guys called Excasr and Soap."

He stopped dead in his tracks. He kept looking at the paper for what seemed to be an eternity with intense bewilderment.

"Who names their kid 'Soap'?" he pondered outloud. "More importantly, who was the jackass who approved of that name?"

He shrugged his shoulders and continued on his way. He reached his room and opened the door, discovering his roommates got there before him.

Damn, I was hoping I'd be here first so I'd get the first choice of beds.

He gave a smile at his roommates and said, "Hello, I'm burnitup. I'm assumin' you guys are my roommates, right?"

What the f(guitar riff) kind of guestion is that?! he thought, If they weren't my roommates then why the hell would they be in this room?!

 

Drawing his attention to who he believed to be Krown, Andrew nodded his head no. "No, no, it's fine. I got it." He said with a phony happy tone and a false smile. He scampered to his dropped things and returned them to his bed and he sat down on it with a thud. 'Krown seems like a nice guy, so he's gonna probably start a conversation.' He thought. 'If only I were like that. It's hard for me to befriend people, but once we become friends, I feel completely comfortable with them...' Andrew sighed.

 

*looks up to see exscar walk in*
Yeah, I'm soap, nice to meet you
*extends hand out for a handshake and then sees BIU walk in*
And you must be BIU I'm assuming.Nice to meet you guys. Let me formally introduce myself. I'm Soap.

BIU took Soap's hand and shook it.

"The pleasure is all mine." he said. Again, who names their kid 'Soap'?! That just f(guitar riff)ing baffles me!

There was silence in BIU's head when all of a sudden, AND WHY I BEING CENSORED WITH GUITAR RIFFS?!

Turning to the third person in the room he said, "You must be Exscar then. Well now that introductions are finished, which bed hasn't been taken yet?"

Well this one by the window is mine. I like the view of the sky when I sleep. Oh are you guys okay with music playing at night. I like it playing when I sleep?

 

"Depends on the music, friend." BIU stated matter-of-factly. He walked over to a bed and laid down on it.

"As long as its not reggae I'm cool with it." BIU said. Thinking for a moment he added, "I f(guitar riff)ing hate reggae."

 

Don't worry, no reggae. Rock, alternative, j-pop, acoustic, punk-rock sound okay to you?

 

"Excellent!" BIU said cheerfully.

"Now, if you'll excuse me I'm going to go to bed. Its been a long time." he said with a yawn. Adjusting his position in the bed he began to fall asleep.

 

No problem, I understand long days.
