Site News Welcome to KH-Vids 6.0!

First off, I'm still exploring the site and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. Somethings, I don't like, but others are already. Either way, I understand why the change (even if I don't know details) and am glad you guys worked so hard to remedy any security issue! This is going to take a lot of getting used to, but hey, I feel like a new member again. So great job, guys!

This is a personal nit pick for me, but it may affect others, if i accidentally hover over the sub sections for a board, the drop list appears and does not go away until I click away from it, ends up just invading my face as im scrolling down, anyway can you make it so it goes away if you move off it, or better probably to have to click it to make the drop down appear?

I'm sorry I haven't addressed many of these yet guys, I kind of neglected to sleep (and eat and clean and... everything) the past few days so I need some time to catch up. But I do promise to get to what I can as soon as possible. Just remember that things are still very much a work in progress, but we preferred to let you guys back in early than to close the site for several days.

Also, this forum style was thrown together in a few hours, whereas the others were done over several months. So please just bear with it--I do intend to put a lot more work into it!

I'm not sure if anyone else has said yet or not, but there's no multiquote? Which is kinda weird.

Also i've clearly abused it in spam, the double post feature is back, we need auto merge again!

For those of you who may be having trouble with all the changes in terminology on the site, I've made a little guide HERE.

Don't take it as 100% infallable because there may be things I don't have documented or things which are pure speculation at this point, but feel free to post anything in it you find which has changed and I will add it to the OP.

 

The VM's seem to have been increased from 140, to 420, and I'm not one to complain, but that's still really low.

I can easily do that in a minute of typing, and at this very moment I was helping someone via VM's and I had to break up several posts into two just because of the limit, if a limit has to be implemented, please raise it to whatever the maximum is, if there doesn't have to be one, please get rid of it entirely.

 

As of now, there also doesn't seem to be a way to view VMs just between you and another user.

 

The overhaul looks quite good. I did need to reorient myself, it's that much of a change.

 

A really big change but I have hope in our EPIC staff on KH-Vids!

 

I wanna ask if it'll be possible to add a search function for threads again?

So I can search a thread for perhaps a particular keyword and find the relevant posts, since that function now seems to be gone... lol

 

It's very different, but I'm happy we've made the change. I think it will be good for our community.
