Kingdom Hearts Weird Pic?

I noticed on page 84 of the KH Manga Vol. 1 there's a weird picture. There's something about it that always catches my attention and I always find myself referring back to it. Does anyone have any ideas about what it is?

 

That belongs to Leon. I think it's part of his gunblade and Sora's Lionheart keychain. Sort of like 'Leon's symbol' or something.

 

It's Leon's necklace, but also his source of strength so to speak.
Since it's on a chain, it can be a keyblade, therefor, Sora gets it and Leon oddly gets another just like it and Sora gets it back in the second game and I...am confused as to how many Leonhart Necklaces leon owns.

 

Yeah, that's Leon's...or in FF VIII Squall's, Lionheart necklace. I believe in FF VIII if I remember correctly it was a representation of Griever, which was a Guardian Force.

 

Griever was NOT a GF in FFVIII, it was simply what Squall symbolized his strength as.


but yes, that is Lionheart, Leon's symbol so to speak. its a keychain at the end of his gunblade, he wears a ring with the symbol on it, and a necklace.

 

Actully Griever was a GF, Ultimecia summoned it in the final fight, and the name was the same as whatever you named the ring back in the 2-3 disk.

That is part of Leons belts and his gunblade...
if I'm not mistaken it's the symbol of the Leonhardt-Family
