Do you have all the proper drivers installed?

If your laptop is generally slow then sometimes it can be necessary to close down all your other big programs when using a mic or webcam :/ I have to close down all my other programs if I want to use mine or I get huge lag and skipping.

This is pretty random and out of the blue, but I've got a logitech webcam too and it conflicted like a ***** with Sony Acid... so if you've got that installed that's the only experience I've had lol.

I have a Logitech that follows you as you move and has the 3D faces and all that crap. A friend of mine rotated it on its base with her hand and now when I plug it into a computer the computer immediately shuts off and refuses to turn back on again until I unplug it.

Logitechs are just fragile and I don't think there's much you can do. Did anybody handle it roughly before this started happening? Does it work okay on a desktop?
