Webcam compatability

So i've tried using an old logitech webcam, that worked with my old XP system, on my Windows 7.


I downloaded all the updates and it rejects it to being incompatiable with my system.

Anyone know a way around this to get it working?

 

Care to provide with the exact Camera? Logitech what, exactly? (Easier to figure it out that way)

 

You are able to find drivers online just type it in google and Logitech.com would be able to match up something. It really depends on your model of the webcam

 

I don't remember the model, and has nothing written on it. Can I access that information through software perhaps?

I am luck enough to have managed to do this with both models! Sadly I cannot tell you why it isnt working XP However I can give you a link to where I learned to use the eyetoy as a camera so you may be able to set it up yourself. And if you want, I also have both software updates for the camera to work, so you dont have to do the survays.

Well I believe I've figured out that the model is an Logitch Quickcam Easy/Cool.

Says on their official forum/site that it's XP only. But I'm sure someone has the know how to get around this specific aspect.

Thanks for the help Adam, I might be able to use that if I can't get this cam working. I do have an old EyeToy.

This talks about Vista, but I believe it's valid for 7 as well.
