Birth by Sleep Way to Dawn (spoiler)???

while looking through some fanart of some artists of kingdom hearts i decided to have a look through the wikipedia of it while searching i came across one sentence

However, in the secret ending video Birth by Sleep, which takes place many years prior to Kingdom Hearts, the Way to the Dawn is seen. It is unknown if this is the same version of the weapon that Riku acquires

i dont know if anyone else has pointed this out yet so i just posted it.

now im thinking birth by sleep will probably be more confusing than 358/2.

Not only this, but many other keyblades we see in KH are seen.

And I agree that BbS will be far more complicated than 358/2.

 

yeah just looked through the video again now paying attentions to the keyblades i saw hero's crest the normal kingdom key a few times in the keyblade cyclone and one that had a tiny resemblance to ultima weapon too :S

 

It was there to show a connection between two characters. But that scene isn't canon meaning it may never happen. WTD hasn't existed before KH2.

And for the rest of the keyblades they were just included so the designers wouldn't have to make 1000 new designs. If you notice you see the same ones over and over.

 

I agree on both points. Except I have a slightly different theory about the secret ending. I don't think it's canon but that it symbolizes something. Like what path each Knight took (Light, Darkness, Twilight). I believe it was daxma that stated he believed that secret ending takes place AFTER KH2 and represents TVA returning, but I don't agree with that.
And just like WtW said, WtD hadn't existed before KH2. Soul Eater was made from Riku's darkness and heart (Right?) and he evolved it himself into WtD.


It would be tiring making new designs that you would probably never see again, but I hope the multitude of Keyblade means something. Like They were more Keyblade Masters than we thought.

I imagined the crossroads as a graveyard instead of a birth place, but we'll have to wait and see.
