Watchmen

I do get what the comedian was.It was as rorshach said himself "He saw the the world the way it was...he saw the savage nature in people and chose to be a parody of it..." roughly translated, he was a joke of the darkest side of people.In my own opinion he is a much better person of jokes than the joker.He was chaos just like the joker but the difference is that he chose to use it in a manner in which he helped in some way and he was much more chaotic than the joker.Another way to describe him is the joker who adds his own personal touch of madness to it.

 

I saw it today and loved it. I love films where it isn't a necessarily a happy ending. It felt much more like a "lesser of two evils" ending where, in the end, there was no "yay everyone is happy" ending.

I have not read the comic story, but I think the film managed to convey a good bit about the plot in the actual comic.

 

Read the novel and see it again. So worth it.

 

Yep I believe that. It was still a very good movie, but the twist of knowing how the other girl was related to him brought everything into the fold of who the character is exactly and how he fitted the story. The story also shows a message to society especially when how people go insane if they have an abusive life and get scarred by it and then lose it entirely. I knew it was going to be dark, but it really surprised me.

 

*sigh*......and now I'm in this fangirl stage over Rorschach. I am very disappointed that Jackie Earl Haley looks nothing like his redhead character in real life. I need a cure.

 

ya same here.I especially like the background of rorshach and the way he really became rorshach.He really went besserk with the killer.
