Watching Pokemon XY

First episode

40 seconds in...

I think to myself "JESUS!!"

Certainly makes you understand why they made the opening to Pokemon X and Y the way they did. And hey, glad I took the character that was canon to the show

Which also reminds me, I started from the beginning of pokemon a while back, and if I ever want to see every episode, I'm going to need about a year of free time to catch up

 

Watch five episodes a day; you'll be done in no time.

 

That's roughly two and a half hours. A lot of people don't have that kind of free time.

 

I can't take the series seriously when they have a Garchomp using Hyper Beam.

WHAT FOOL DOES THAT

In the anime, it's the Pokemon's choice.

 

In that sense, it was the garchomp's decision to learn hyper beam

 

Do I have to remind you that Ash Ketchum exists in this series? This world clearly has foolishness to spare.

I watched the first episode of XY hoping for some sort of preview for the games without really spoiling myself. I legit know nothing about the games except what was mentioned in the episode, plot-wise.

My thoughts about halfway through the episode were,
We don't know who the gym leader is? I bet it turns out to be that little sh*t with the machine backpack.

GUESS WHO THE GYM LEADER IS.

 

Watched the premiere on CN, wasn't impressed.
Ash needs to be replaced. -_-

 

Am I the only one who still loves Ash? ;-;

 

Maybe if they would give the kid some character development I'd care a tad bit more...

 

That is fair enough xD I would like to see him grow up a bit as well.

 

Yeah, preferably not jumping off building after building and cliff after cliff for pikachu when it could land him certain death. Seriously, how many times has he survived a fall that would otherwise turn him into a pancake?

And seeing the beginning of this season just makes it seem like he got more immature again, for some reason. Even the old Team Rocket entrance is back. What's with the brain age regression?
