How come nobody's got a French accent except for Lumiere and the French Maid? They're in France. But everyone's either English or American.
On that note, why do they all have to have names that coincide with their current form? I suppose one could argue that from a different perspective, their form had something to do with their original names. Still, it makes little sense. "This is yet another example of the late Baroque period. And, as I always say, if it's not Baroque, don't fix it."
