Don't know if they'll transfer other studios onto the project, maybe a couple knowing Ubi's incestuous proliferation with itself in regards to making games, but if they did that they'd likely be behind on their future games scheduling of certain studios.

I think high end graphics should be a thing for Watch Dogs, because it's a game very much based up the living, modern world we're in. It wouldn't seem as good to me if my 'immersion' in the game was let down because of a lack of believability, some sense of not feeling the breadth of this world. I think it's partly also a retrospective vision after next gen stuff, everything in the past begins to look a bit crummy and old and anything not next gen looking feels a bit lacking.

And in regards to the multiple studios approach, it's actually one of Ubi's greatest strengths and fatal flaws in some ways. They're able to pump out more content on average, and at a higher quality generally since they'll have more people refining it, but a number of aspects of their games are homogenised as a result, like the same sorts of games having assassination focus or wall climbing in their bigger titles, since trying to explore more diverse and unique game mechanics would result in a more muddled vision from so many different studios. This also works within their writing department, my Creative Writing lecturer who has written for a few games before has said that Ubi's writing team is not cohesive, they're all given parts of several projects at once and told to come together with all these different parts, and it eliminates a lot of creative flow and diversity in narratives.

All I can say is they do things their way, I respect that at least.

I don't think they did on purpose only to avoid GTA and Assassin's creed, probably they discover a major flaw in the game, because they burned their images by removing a game that would have a bundle with the consoles...

Even though WiiU/Ps3/Xbox360 will get a version, I wouldn't play on them.. as the last video of Ps3's version was awfull.. and Open world was the main limitation of the last gen.

So here's some info regarding Watch Dogs' delay. The full interview is a bit long so I'll just put up some of the highlights.

    • Polishing a game this large takes lots of time. There were some things the developers could not anticipate without getting this far into development. They needed to get their hands on a build of the game to tweak it which, of course, takes lots of time.

    • No, the game wasn't broken. They could have released it as is but there were things they just wanted to improve.

    • Ideas that were put to the side were implemented back into the game because the developers felt like the game needed those. A new ability Aiden has is a hacking function to get into someone's headset and play a loud high-pitched noise which would be useful in combat and other situations.

    • There have been UI tweaks mainly regarding multiplayer.

    • Watch Dogs is confirmed to be at least 20% more awesome than it was when we last saw it.*

Full interview here at Ubi Blog.

    * May or may not be accurately quoted from the interview.

    Only inovations I want:
    1) Aiden drops the gun.. he is a hacker.
2)He should be fat, that would be hilarious! Also while he is showing his hacking skills, no tiping rubbish in 10 seconds, I want "uhm... so this code doesn't work" while eating pizza.

*takes glasses off* My God. Watch Dogs is beautiful on PC. I'm tempted to burn all my money on a high-end PC just for this.

Oh man is that pretty. But golly how much money is needed to build a beast of a PC to run it that beautifully.

I'm not a fan of multiplayer but maybe Watch Dogs will change my mind.

    New multiplayer trailer:

    Edit:

    Um...

Well that's awesome. Surprising that there was so much news for this game today.

I saw Giant Bomb's feature on Watch_Dogs and it is still looking promising. I'm not bothered about the whole graphics thing that blew up the other week, but the gameplay seems fun. Let's hope it can hold up for the whole game.

Uhh wot. I thought this was more of a "gritty near-future realism" sorta thing. This seems kinda silly in light of that.

Character trailer just came out today. It just confirms something we already knew. Jordi's awesome.

Apparently, Watch_Dogs will run at 1080p/60 fps on the PS4. No word on the resolution and framerate for the Xbox One version though.

    Since
Sony confirmed this and it didn't exactly come directly from Ubisoft there's reason to take this with a grain of salt. Likely we'll get an unlocked fps that'll average around 40/50 fps and (this is just speculation) the Xbox One will probably run at locked 30 fps with 1080p resolution.

Yea the whole 60 FPS/1080P kind of stuff makes me somewhat doubtful. Usually, it's CLOSE to 60, but not quite there. And it does hit 60, but onlyif you really do nothing and not much is happening on the screen.

I'll admit, I was devastated when they pushed back the release date on this game. I was thinking oh lord, they promised too much and couldn't deliver, and this game isn't going to be that good. But now, my interest in the game has been rekindled and I do plan on buying it day one of it's release. The graphics look great, and while it might be fun to play on PC, I'm happy I bought the PS4. It should be close, if not as pretty as the PC version.
