I searched everywhere for the thread but I couldn't find it. Did it get deleted? Search function isn't finding it? I was sure there was a thread about this. I flipped through 10 pages. Might have missed it. Unless someone didn't name the thread after the game. >> If someone finds the original thread(I'm sure there was one!) request for this to get merged!

New trailer for this game. It's from Ubisoft. It'll be out for PS3, 360, WiiU, and PS4. Kotaku says it'll be out on PS4 first.

Basically it's a mix of Assassin's Creed and...something else I can't put my finger on. Maybe it's just the pretty graphics, but I'd say this looks even more interesting than AC. Plus it doesn't look like AC with a different skin slapped on. Similar aspects, totally different direction.

This game is my most favoured game in the future, literally over anything else. I'd be tempted to buy a PS4 just if the best version of this game was one there! XD

If anyone knows the TV series 'Person of Interest' (seriously watch it, it's good) then you'll probably tell the major similarities in this game and that show. It's a great concept, being able to remotely hack a city and use it to your advantage, in a modern day setting that deals with the issues of social media and the idea of a 'Big Brother' always watching and monitoring you. This thing is a god send with how old formulas are being used with new, original ideas.

I saw in the trailer a battery bar for the phone, with each hack slightly draining the power, so I don't think we can just spam hacks all day as nice as it would be, so there is some challenge and strategic use for your phone. The parkour looks very good and the locale is just perfect for this kind of environment. The MC also looks to be a 'Robin Hood' vigilante kind of character, stealing from the rich, stopping crimes before they happen,. I man this doesn't seem like a cop killer game that GTA might be portrayed as. Though it would be even better would be if they introduced a morality system of choices whether you kill cops to escape or not, whether to kill the criminal instead of chase them down, a lot of interesting choices could be made in this.

I can not recommend keeping an eye on this this thing highly enough.

This is looking soooooo sweet! I don't think I'll be getting a PS4 anytime soon so I'll end up getting it on the Wii U if I can get one before it comes out. Definitely has the potential for GOTY, at least out of this and GTAV for me.

I think a better box art for the game that would reach a medium, would be:
The MC, mainly silhouetted in the left side forefront, side ways view, gun in one hand pointed down, the other hand held out above the gun, with his phone in it. Lines appear out of the phone and in the background, a street, an array of pursuing police cars are halted by those posts that appear from the ground, mid hitting them. The phone has lines connected to the posts, the street lights, hell anything they can fit in.

I am not much for box art, but even I have to admit that's a generic cover reserved for bad games. This surely should not be in that category.

I remembered this from E3 last year and was thoroughly impressed. Leave it to Ubisoft to continue plugging in new IPs during a period of of sequel-fever over the past few years.

It's hard to gauge at this point though just how functional this "hack anything" idea is during actual play. I commend them for offering two live demonstrations for the game thus far (that's twice more than what other developers can say about their upcoming titles) to spout a bit of integrity on the developer front, but I cannot help but be slightly skeptical of the delivery when you have the ability to rehearse well in advance. Will everything really be that intuitive, all of the time? Probably not. AC1 (if I recall correctly) was their first foray into open-world gameplay and we all know how that went. Ambitious ideas that couldn't quite be realized until its sequel arrived when they gained a better understanding of current generation hardware.

Regardless, this is quickly turning out to be a Day 1 buy for me, and I'm glad to see it's coming to PS4. Would've been awkward if it didn't.

Really looking forward to this. Really seems like there are going to be endless possibilites. Sort of reminds me of when I first saw the trailer for the original Infamous. I really hope this can live up to what they've been showing in the trailers so far. If Next-Gen makes for bigger and more free worlds I'm all for it!

If it makes it any better, this is technically (from an interview I read somewhere) a current gen game that has crossed into the next gen. The biggest difference between current gen and next is the graphics, Ai complexity, crowd density, draw distance, etc, stuff that'll make the game seem more realistic and fluid.
So technically, it's not a new gen title, the tech they use to make the game is likely something they're used to and have worked with something before. So it probably won't fall into the new gen hole of problems that most new gens will.

I also think it's pretty obvious that a few of the events that take place are planned actions anyway, like in the second gameplay trailer the police car crashing into the post and the train being on time for a get away seem very set up. But AC gameplay demos have always been like that, and those games have never disappointed me nor strayed far away from what we've been shown. So i'm chalking these gameplay demos as very accurate to real gameplay. But we'll see.
