Kingdom Hearts II Was Sora given his name for a reason?

    Of course it means something...Sora means "sky", Kairi means "sea"(well kai means sea but you know...) and Riku means "land". and all are a theme present throughout all KH games...like Kairi being surrounded by sea and separated from Sora and Riku (sort of)(in KH2) and Riku wanting to search-out new worlds(land) and Sora falling from the sky(kh opening) ya know stuff like that...

    T.N. does it with most of his character designs Like in FFX Tidus means "sun" and Yuna means "moon" ect.

    I think there's a connection. Also, "Squall" also means a storm.
