Riku never wielded the Keyblade when he was dark. He had darkness within him but the Keyblade left him when he chose darkness over light. As for Sora..it was known that anyone who is not a PoH basically has Darkness in him/her. However, Sora's Darkness was pretty pathetic if you think on it, considering he changed into a Shadow, which is the bottom of the totem poll for Heartless. It is the basic 'proof' we need to say he was not evil really.

To make another point, he has the 'choice' to become better or worse. The forms he has in KH2 support this as they are potentials he will rise to as he becomes more powerful. Valor - for strength of spirit and body, Wisdom for knowledge and magic. Master, mastering both fields strongly. And then there's Anti-Form. Which comes around when he abuses forms too much, relying on power too much which is a representation that power could corrupt him if he's not careful. His final form is that he's complete and goes on to being a whole person that won't be corrupted since even Anti-Form won't work if it is called forth. So, Sora has the potential as anyone would to become 'evil' since he has Darkness in his heart, but the chances are low so long as he does what he is supposed to and doesn't avoid it or become power obsessed.

And that Final thing has to do with Roxas,since only when accepted Sora as " a good other" he began to use it.

The darkness in one's heart doesn't make the person evil. But if they can't overcome it they might turn evil. I guess when he got the keyblade it helped release the light in him to help him overcome the darkness. Plus Sora's too good hearted to become evil. And Riku was overcome by the darkness before he could get the keyblade and didn't get a keyblade until the darkness was gone or losing.

Least that's what I think.
