Wartime Reverie

Allen actually laughed at Mixt's response, and his anger quickly faded away so that he returned to his usual calm demeanor. "You know you're right about that at least. I would love to beat you into the ground and just leave you there suffering, for what you did, or more for your attitude about what you did, you deserve it. And trust me, I do have it in me to fight you, or did you forget what happened before you killed the boy?" Allen flashed a cocky smile. "But I'm not like you. I don't pick fights because I can. And I'm smart enough to see that there are better ways to solve things than violence. The legal system for example." This last comment was said with obvious sarcasm. He then turned to Phisoxa "We should go, it's really late and, frankly, I've had enough of this guy."

 

"And that, I think we can agree on" Mixt said as he picked up Phisoxa's book and handed it back to her. "Mythology huh? Well have fun chasing your fairy tales" Mixt said as he turn around and gave a coy wave as he walked away. 'And to think. I first fought him because I thought he was like me. How wrong I was' Mixt thought to himself as he made his way to the rooftop.

 

"I don't like that guy," Allen noted to Phisoxa as MIxt walked away. "Still at least I know why he did it." He sighed, then walked to Shero and extended a hand for her to shake. "Hello, I'm Allen Tor, you must be the friend Phisoxa was waiting for, Shero was it?"

 

"Well, if you refuse the offer, I will most definently be sad, that's for sure." Said the man "Nothing bad will happen to you, I will simply have to find another."[DOUBLEPOST=1365948641][/DOUBLEPOST]

Nny was walking through the hallways stretching himself out after his test. He had done so well that he could hardly believe it. That was a lie, Nny believed every bit of it. Nny thought he was completely awesome and wasn't afraid to say it out loud. Suddenly, Nny saw Mixt walking through the hallways. Nny didn't say anything, he just kept walking like nothing was going on. Wasn't that the man who killed the boy? thought Nny. Nny walked right passed him before turning around to take a glance at him from behind. Nny continued to not say anything. Nny then turned around and kept walking.

 

The man's response relived Drei somewhat. At least now he knew that nothing would happen to him if he did decline. "One final question, who's the teacher then?" After all he did have a right to know.

 

"I'm sorry, but I can only tell you that information if you refuse to accept. See, if you found out and didn't accept then there would have to be consequences. You might attempt to warn the teacher or others, and I can't let you get away with that." Said the man in a cold voice. "If you accept, then I will hand you this contract which you would sign, and then I would give you the teachers name."

 

" Hopefully that is the last I ever see of him... I was only moments away from beating him up...." Phisoxa said with a sigh as Shero walked closer to them. " Yes it's Shero... what was going on anyways? Phisoxa seems upset...." Shero said with a confused look.

 

"That guy we were talking to is literally getting away with murder. And he doesn't even care about the life he ended. To him the boy he killed was just an obstacle keeping him from getting better. He's dangerous." Allen turned back to Phisoxa. "And if he's walking free the PR nightmare just got a whole lot worse"

 

Robert was heading back to his room after having a quick meal when he passed Allen and Phisoxa, he over heard them complaining about Mixt getting away with murder, he had heard about what had happened but hadn't gotten involved "Murderers is what these academies were founded for" Robert said as he passed them, he didn't stop to talk, he didn't even mean to say it, it was like someone else had taken over to speak for a second.

 

Drei looked at the piece of paper. He really didn't want to see a contract in this situation, still he had to give his answer. "Sorry, but I'll decline the offer."

 

The man paused for a bit before saying "Good... I wasn't really wanting you to kill a teacher here." The man passed over the contract for Drei to see it was completely blank. "I just wanted to get an idea of what your moral standing was. And I am glad to be right." The man got up and sat in a chair closer to Drei "Now, here is my real proposition. How would you like to be apart of a team of people who would be willing to do what ever it took to see justice done?"

 

This man was definitively starting to confuse him, but at leas he doesn't have to kill a teacher. Now his new proposal seemed like something he could get behind. "Sure, who else will be involved?"

 

"Many will be, but they are not all gathered yet. However, now is not the time. You will know the call when you recieve it. Until then, I must leave you." Said the man, getting up and exiting "Take care my friend." Then as he left he could be heard mumbling "I am getting good at this!"

 

" Might as well squeeze as much education in before this school goes down the toilet... " Phisoxa said with a soft sigh as she clutched her book close to her chest and started to walk down the hall. " It's getting late, its not safe for us to be walking around here when the police department is still on about that rumor of those dark spies being here..."

Meanwhile . . .

On a balcony that was about a couple floors up from where Nny was wandering a man with dark grey hair that hung loosely below his chin stood with a knife in his hand that was dripping with freshly drawn blood. On the rail of the balcony a man was barely alive from loosing such much blood. " Tell me where is that journal old man... from what I've gotten out of you so far it should be here so please don't make things difficult ..." The younger man said as the half dead man coughed up blood and hanged on to the rail, trying to prop himself up a bit. " I refuse to give you anymore information Noire... Like I said I burned that accursed thing years ago.. so why don't you return home and read up on what you seek like a good lad..." The older man said as Noire only frowned and looked down at the blade of his knife that glinted in the moonlight. " Well looks like I have to look for the answers else where... thank you for the help you have provided me so far...you are free now...." Noire said as he was about to turn away before he suddenly jerked forward and ran his knife into the man's lower back causing him to gasp. " Joking... I wouldn't let you leave.... now will you tell me ?" Noire said as he leaned in close enough to hear the dying man's subtle whispers. " That'll do.." Noire said with a smirk as he pulled his knife out of the man's back and sent the man toppling over the side of the balcony. The man's lifeless form freefalled through the air and crashed through a skylight of one of the lower floors where he landed on the ground right in front of Nny.

 

Nny jolted back in shock. He quickly man to the side of the dead man. He recognized the man as a teacher from the school, Master Westus. Nny checked to see if he was even alive before looking up at where the man had fallen. He noticed blood stains on the railing about two floors up. Nny quickly jumped off some poles to get up there to see if the killer was still around, but alas, no one was present. Nny jumped back down and stood next to the body of his former school teacher. He stared at the dead corpse, watched as it made no movement or sound. It was simply lifeless. Nny had never seen a dead body before, and this was... it was just... "I never liked you, you always were a stickler for the rules." Nny said before going to get someone for assistance.

 

Robert entered the hallway just as Nny left to get help, he stopped just in front of the corpse "Seems everyone is killing each other these days" Robert said as he looked closer "How long till we are killing each other in the hallways?" he asked himself. "You know if the killer was any good he would come down here and check that the victim died in the fall"

 

"That gives me an idea, actually," Allen said as he started to walk with her. "Maybe, the dark empire could be blamed for this. And then the school's fine. Hey, you two don't mind if I walk you to your rooms do you?"

 

Nny quickly and easily made conversation with the new comer "I know, right? Or if not come down here and make sure he's dead, make sure he's dead and then throw him over. I mean, some people are just too sloppy about this kind of stuff." Nny then folded his arms. "You know, the way I see it, if we all have to kill each other, at least we can do it in a civilized manner. I mean, this..." Nny pointed to the body "... This isn't civilized at all! It's just anarchy here!"

 

Before Nny could exit the room the lights went out in the hallway and now only the pale moonlight illuminated the hall, its glow reflecting down through the broken skylight onto Master Westus's lifeless form. In the shadows of the hallway a man seemed to emanate out from the darkness, the shadow acting as a mist that seemed to come off of him before it disintegrated into the air. " Well well, I didn't expect anyone to be down here...."

" I wouldn't blame the dark empire just yet... after all there are murderers that show up in all walks of life.... Sure you can walk us back if you wish..." Phisoxa said walking as Shero followed her.

 

"As we said sloppy, this wasn't planned at all, and your not intimidating" Robert said to the man "I can turn the lights back on a lot easier then it took you to turn them off so say your cryptic threat and messages, fight us and then run away after we beat you like a god starter boss" Robert said mocking the man.
