Wartime Reverie

Shero watched as the pebbles on the ground started to skid across the ground as a result of the force the pillar exerted on the objects around it. Shero tried to grab on something to prevent herself from being sucked in. " What do we do?!" Shero shouted as Dante stood firm but didn't hold on to anything, he looked rather unphased by the site of the pillar. " Don't bother holding on... its only going to get stronger..." Dante said as he ran towards the pillar and jumped into the air and got sucked into the pillar. Shero watched in shock as Dante disappeared. " Why did he do that...." Shero thought as she screamed out while trying to hold on to street lamp she was gripping onto.

 

The Airship above the palace fired a beam of light down onto the palace that caused it to explode, killing everyone inside as the airship flew towards the dark pillar. It launched about seven transports that flew threw the portal after Dante. The Airship itself after dispatching the transports flew back into the ocean and vanished. many unprepared Janinan Soldiers were also sucked threw the pillar.

 

Shero's eyes widened as she watched the palace get destroyed. " No... Phisoxa ... This can't be !!" Shero cried out as a tear rolled down her cheek. Blinded by despair Shero's grip on the street lamp loosened and she flew off into the the pillar.

 

Nny at first just stood there examining the pillar. The pillar pulled other things in, but not Nny. Nny was simply too strong for it to pull in... However, the pull got stronger and stronger. Soon, Nny couldn't resist it any longer, and after sliding across the ground for several seconds, lost his footing and both he and Allen were flung into the pillar.

 

The Pillar closed after Nny, leaving the city quiet, empty and in ruin.

Nny, Allen, Shero and Dante all emerged from a white pillar on a beach. In every direction the ground was black like soot and the vegetation was all dead, the water poisonous to all who drank it, the sky was bright as day but there was no wind, no clouds and no sun, just light from an unknown source. Not far from the beach was the ruins of a city, though most of it was now buried and lost.

 

Shero came flying out of the pillar and landed on the sand. Dante had already arrived before her and stood further up the beach with a stoic look on his face. Shero pushed herself up and looked around, her eyes still full of tears." Did that blast wipe everything out?.." Shero asked as Dante sighed." Seems that way.." Dante said calmly as Shero pushed her face down into her friends. " No.... shes really gone... I can't believe it.."

 

Nny flew out of the pillar and held Allen above him, to avoid him from being hurt, and landed on his back. Nny gently put Allen down before examining his surroundings. He tried to piece things together, but couldn't figure out where he was. Unless the Eclipscions had attacked other cities as well as the Janina capital... Nny just couldn't understand it. He looked to Shero and Dante "Where are we?"

 

" I'm sorry to say this but we are still in the Janinan Capital ... " Dante said with a sigh as he walked down the beach towards them. Though by the look on his face he looked as if he wasn't telling them everything that he knew. " Everything was wiped out just like that?" Shero said pulling her face away from her hands.

 

"I don't believe that." said Nny "How could everything be MORE devastated than when we last left it? And how come we had to be transported to see the thing we had already seen. No, this may look like Janina, but we are somewhere else..." Nny then kicked Allen "Wake up, now's not the time for sleep." He kicked Allen a few more times before letting up.

 

"The reason everything is like this, is because you people have missed some events" An old man said coming out from behind a chunk of ruins "I assume you are Shero, Dante and Nny?" the man asked them as he stood in front of the group, using a walking stick to support himself.

 

"Alright, since you already know our names, it's time you explained exactly what you are talking about." said Nny walking up to the man. "No games, lets get to the point." Nny had become of these events, one after another, increasingly complicating things with each turn. Nny could only think about the consumers... clearly this was the only thing that tied into them. He had seen the devastation from before and what was left of Janina looked just like it.

 

"Okay, you three-" The man stopped and looked at Allen "-Four-" He looked to Nny "- have been missing for seventy three years" The man said to them "A lot has happened since then as you can imagine"

 

"How is that possible? Who did this to us? You?" asked Nny genuinely curious. He couldn't think of anything else to say, he was simply baffled beyond belief.

 

"Not me, but a man who goes by the name of Phantoma, he wanted you to see what awaits the world if it continues down its current path, unfortunately for him opening the pillars destroyed his body and I know of no one else that could use them, except the consumers" The man said to Nny.

 

Allen slowly got up, feeling slightly light-headed. "What about seventy-three years?" He had just managed to hear a part of that one statement as he was waking up. He looked at his surroundings completely unaware of his location and how he got there; he only slightly remembered the ending to his fight with the cloaked man. "Wait, what happened? And where are we?"

 

" If this is 73 years from now then I'm scared to know what has taken place during that time... this can't only be a result of the attack..." Shero said with a look of fear as Dante listened with a calm yet strange composure.
Meanwhile back in the city of Janina unaffected by the timeskip. . .
The city lay in burning ruins, with many who were either fleeing the city or trapped beneath the piles of rock and rubble. In the rubble of the now fallen castle, Phisoxa lay beneath a fallen pillar with her body trapped beneath it. Surprisingly she was still alive and in one piece, but she was knocked out cold with blood now trickling from the corner of her mouth.

 

Nny didn't even know who Phantoma was... the name had never been known to him, yet the man was obviously dead according to the man in front of him. Nny then became suspicious of this man he was talking to "Just who are you! And how do you know so much about everything? How in the world would you of our coming for over seventy years?"

 

"Hm, understandable, I go by the name of father and the reason I know you would reappear here is a young man many years ago informed me this is where you would arrive" The Man said to Nny "It was hard making sure I was in position ready for you and not something else here instead"

 

"Father, huh? How did you end up earning that funny nick name?" asked Nny acting rather rude, but at the same time was genuinely curious. He couldn't help but feel odd about the whole thing. Clearly it was planned, and the plan had a purpose, but what part did this 'Father' have to do with it? And what was the point in sending them a guide?

Dr. Traken viewed the devastation of the city around him. He explored all around, but couldn't make sense as to how he survived. Suddenly he came across a woman who was trapped underneath a broken pillar. The doctor lifted brick by brick off of her until she could get free. "Are you okay, miss? Are you hurt?"

 

"Before we get into too much exposition, can somebody tell me what's going on. I seem to have missed something important while I was out." Allen looked at the people around him. He still couldn't guess at what was going on, and believed he had missed some important details. "First off: where are we, and what happened while I was unconscious?"
