Wartime Reverie

Phisoxa looked at him with eyes of worry. "You've started a war..." Phisoxa let this sink in as she continued to heal him. She then went behind him to heal his back...

...as she did this, she began to pour darkness into his open wounds. The darkness didn't hurt Allen, but it did go inside of him and spread throughout his body, unknowingly to him. She then would heal up the open wounds as soon as she poured a little darkness into each of them.

 

" What do you mean only 23? Did you know something about what was going to happen to the school before hand? I heard what you were talking about with that man like you were expecting for it to happen." Shero said looking confused.

Meanwhile . . .
The god dressed in armor sat down on a bench, a sword and shield strapped to his back. He locked his fingers together and rested his chin on them. " I don't know how much longer the God King has before he's gone... everyone has been trying to find a answer to why hes degrading. We couldn't find a single thing... with the goddess of peace god and the God King about to follow suit then things will become pretty chaotic around here... I wonder if this means a second god war is going to become of it. If only Aia hadn't perished.. she would have known what to do." The man said as the woman with long brown hair who stood by him sighed. " Matthias don't imply that another god war will take place... even if there has been reports of the Fallen Ones rearing their meddlesome heads again we still have the upper hand. We Gods need to learn how to rule as a group, that way we can take care of things in the King's place..."

 

"I simple tried to save as many as I possible could, out of an academy of hundred 21 one isn't a bad number, I have had worse result during rescues. And then that thing saved two, wait three" Robert said facing Shero "I expected it to happen eventually, not so soon but I knew it would happen"

 

Allen turned to look at her. "How would I have started a war? Actually, how would you know if I had?" Allen didn't have many open wounds--mostly he had small cuts, broken bones, and what would be bruises in a few hours--so she couldn't pour in too much darkness. Still he felt the darkness entering his body, he didn't know what it was though. "Hey, what are you doing back there?" He shifted his whole body around towards her, slightly alarmed. "That doesn't feel like any healing I've ever had done before."

 

It was enough darkness in order to serve its purpose. Phisoxa finished healing him. "I'm healing you my way. I'm not knowledgable of many forms of healing, only a few special ones." She explained. She then went on to explain the war bussiness with Allen "You are a fool!" She then proceeded to slap him. "You attacked that Eclipscion ship! Right infront of Janina territory! Its only common sense that a war will start now! And it's all your fault! We should be focusing on those things that attacked the school, but instead we are going to end up fighting each other... It's just that... after we saw that student get killed..." She started to cry "I just don't want to see any more bloodshed... And now you have caused exactly that to happen! I don't ever want to see you near me or any of the others again! To me, you are no better than Mixt!" She then ran off into the forest, leaving him behind.

When she was out of eyesight by Allen, Phisoxa changed her appearence almost immediately to that of Rako's. It had been Rako the whole time, disguised as Phisoxa. And Rako hoped the guise had worked well...

 

Phisoxa wandered off towards the edge of the city where she was met by a couple of guards watching one of the smaller entrances to the capital city. " Where is your traveling pass?" The guard said staring down Phisoxa. He was dressed in a dark blue suit of armor that had a glossy sheen to it. " I'm a member of the Mindell family !! I demand you let me in !!" Phisoxa said taking a small pin out of her pocket that had a symbol of a nightingale that held a bluebell in it's mouth. The guards looked to eachother and shrugged as they stepped out of the way." Apologies mistress..." The guard said as Phisoxa walked through along with Shero,

 

Allen rubbed his face where she had slapped him and thought about what she had said. He hadn't attacked an Eclipscion ship, he had damaged the ship's engine enough that it wouldn't work so he could escape. He paused as he realized how that could be misinterpreted to seem like an attack. Still he was only seventeen; the dark empire couldn't be stupid enough to think that Janina would have a seventeen year old boy attack one of their ships alone. At least, he hoped they weren't that stupid. He reassured himself that he wasn't like Mixt, when he was given the chance to kill someone for his own benefit he hadn't done it, Mixt had.

He started after her. He didn't like that he had made her cry, and he would've jut let her run away, but they had a job to do and he was fairly certain they would need each other to do it. As he thought about what she had said and how she had run away he had a realization. If she thought he was no better than Mixt, why had she healed him? Why would she be so concerned with his well-being if she never wanted to see him again? He thought more and wondered how she had known he'd damaged the ship; she wasn't around when he'd done it and he had damaged it from the inside, so she couldn't have seen him do it from the forest. He found himself growing suspicious as he thought about her sudden mood change when she'd brought up the idea of war. When they had confronted Mixt she had immediately shown that she was upset, unlike just now.

He was beginning to feel uneasy. And suddenly he was very suspicious about the strange feeling he'd had while Phisoxa was healing him. He stopped for a second, and then ran after her.

 

Rako opened a portal and went through it. The portal then closed behind him. Leaving no trace of his presence ever being there.

Nny followed Robert, not having anything better to do.

Dr. Traken escorted the children into Janina. Trying to find a place where they could be brought back to their respective families.

 

" So what do you suppose we do now? I have no place to go to... after all Westus was like a father to me... and I may be a Mindell but I swore to myself that I'd never go back to them..." Phisoxa said with a sigh as Shero frowned while following them.

 

Dr. Traken looked at Phisoxa and Suri with sorrowful eye's. "I'm sorry, but for orphans such as yourselves, I have no idea where you can go. I am homeless too though, I will probably get a temporary home until I can buy my own house. You may come with me if you wish."

 

" Im going to have to take a train ride back home to my hometown, but I'm not sure if it's safe to go now." Shero said with a sigh as Phisoxa turned to her. " I guess we can rent a apartment for now... I still have that money my master gave me for my birthday ...But before we can do that I need to go visit the palace." Phisoxa said.

 

Allen climbed down into a tunnel a short ways outside Cassenova's walls. He had lived in the slums of Janina's capitol city for about a year when he was younger and he often used this tunnel to sneak out of the city so he could play in the forest. Normally to enter of leave the city someone would have to go past guards at one of the many gates and the guards wouldn't let a young child outside the city without his parents. For whatever reason though this tunnel was never guarded. As best as Allen could tell it used to be a service tunnel of some kind long before he was born, but when that part of the city became a slum people stopped using the tunnel, it got run down and people just stopped paying attention to it. Nobody really cares what's broken or unguarded in a slum.

He would've gone through the gate except that his traveling pass had been in his room when the school was taken over by monsters, and he didn't think he had enough money to bribe the guards. He guessed Phisoxa would be going to the city--he remembered her saying she wanted to go to the capitol in Legion's library, and that was the direction she had run off in--and he hoped he'd be able to find her. He knew for sure that he'd spent enough time in slums and lived in the slums of Cassenova long enough to know how to find her if she'd been anywhere near them recently. If she hadn't been near the slums though, he would just have to hope he bumped into her.

 

Above the average goings on of the town, a young girl around 15 years old could be seen jumping from roof to roof. "What am I doing in Janina?" She asked herself. "I don't live here, do I?" The girl had woken up earlier in this place with no recollection of who she was or what she was doing here; but she knew where here was. In fact, she knew exactly what planet she was on and which kingdom was sworn to whom. She knew many things about Janina, Eclipscion, and Sacra, as well as the presence of the Divine level. However, she knew absolutely nothing about herself, other than her name. She didn't think she lived anywhere in this world, but she had to have gotten here somehow. She leaped onto a roof in an area that appeared to be the slums of the city. "What am I even looking for?" She thought as she watched the horizon.

 

Once in the city Robert separated from the students, he had his own plans. At first he ignored Nny's presence but after a while it just started to bug him "Why are you following me?" Robert asked as he stopped in an empty street.

 

Nny had just been following the man because he seemed to know what he was doing, however Nny didn't like being questioned in such a quick and unexpected manner. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were doing secretive things!" Nny said sarcastically "Obviously you have something to hide, and you knew more about those monsters than I did! Now, I want some answers! Who are you? And what were those things?"

 

"Its funny that you demand answers, it seems when ever someone demands something my instant response is not to answer, but alas, I am an enigma, I like being an enigma and I also like keeping my secrets you know, secret" Robert said as he turned around and kept walking, he headed to the slum region "Where is she?" he asked himself as he observed the rooftops as he went along.

 

"Huh... Fine. I really don't care. I will get my answers from a more useful source then." said Nny as he walked away into the city. Nny didn't know of anyone who might have any clues to what happened with the school. But he knew that whoever that guy was he wasn't reliable at all.

 

"Yeah good luck with" Robert said as Nny finally left "Thank sweet merciful god he is gone" he added as Nny turned the first corner. Since Nny was gone Robert backtracked a little to a roof he had passed earlier but ignored because of Nny. There on top stood a girl "Your Reese right?" he asked her.

 

Reese looked away from the horizon to see who had spoken. When she saw Robert, the gears in her head started to turn. "How does he know my name?" She wondered.
She continued to look down towards Him. "Do I know you?" She asked him. She didn't remember anyone like him. She shook her head and placed a hand on her face. She decided that she should introduce herself anyway. So before he could answer, she curtsied and said "Yes, my name is Reese; Reese Amasiuncula.

 

Nny scoured the city until he found himself in the slums of the city. There he observed the poverty that was all around him. Every city had poverty, Nny had realized it was just a part of life. However, Nny saw that those who were poor were simply too weak to fight for themselves. He eventually stumbled upon a man entering the city from a tunnel way. It was Allen. However Nny knew little to nothing about him. Didn't even know he was a student. "Where are you coming from?" Nny asked the boy, sincerly curious.

"The palace?" Dr. Traken said "My, what could possibly be there that you would need?"
