Wartime Reverie

The guards gave pursuit, even if they couldn't see they knew where Allen was and they opened fire on the corridor he was in. Meanwhile the hallways around Allen were closed off and he became trapped as the guards cornered him. There was about twenty guards shooting into the corridors that would rip anything in it to shreds.

 

Once the transport had landed in a vacant within the forest on the edge of the Janinan Capital city Phisoxa strolled out, helping Shero out of the ship before walking through the trees. Phisoxa's long white hair sprawled out in the wind that blew between the trunks of the old oak forest. Off in the distance a couple deer watched them from afar before skittering off. Phisoxa walked down the stone path towards the city. Phisoxa could spot the white stone walls of the temple of Aia that sat on the border between the forest and the bustle of the city. Far off the castle of Janina stood near the ocean that was on the farthest end of the city from where they stood.

Meanwhile in the Divine Level . . .

The palace of the gods was alive with chatter. It was noisy especially in the throne room where the God King's chair sat empty and it looked like it had been that way for a while now. A man with long dark burgundy hair and green eyes stood near a indoor pond,dressed in a suit of platinum armor. He wore a helmet that had a valkyriesque look to it since it had black feathers incorporated into the helmet. The man was staring into the pond who's waves were black and dotted with stars like the night sky. In the pond there were several small statues made of crystal and one had it's facial features now broken off but it was clear by the body of the statue that it meant to be feminine. Another statue, this time of a male seemed to be full of cracks. " So Alicia passes on..." The man said with a emotionless look as the other who were gathered around the pond seemed to be busy chattering. A woman came up next to the man dressed in a midnight blue linen dress. She hand extremely long dark brown hair and midnight blue eyes. The woman was pretty but it was in a inhuman way and it was hard to tell exactly what age she was. " It seems the Shepherd of Peace has fallen.. could it be possible that our race is finally seeing a age of decay?"

 

Allen crawled through the air vent he was in. He had seen it as the corridor was being closed off and, needing speed rather than stealth now, quickly blasted the cover off with light energy and gotten in. Unfortunately he now had no idea how to get where he was trying to go. He figured as soon as the guards realized he was in the vent system they would activate another security feature to stop him and that he didn't have much time. "Legion, which way to Phisoxa and Shero? And any advice to help me get out of this alive would be appreciated."

 

"Dude, I'm just glad you are okay. Maybe you should try... LOL, I don't know, just break stuff." Legion said plainly. Legion didn't have any clue how to break out of that ship and he wasn't going to take the time to get out the schematics for it and look.

 

The vents in Allen's section closed off as they trapped him in. Suddenly two opened on opposite sides as water started flowing threw the vents, they were trying to flood Allen out.

 

"That's all you've got? 'Just break stuff?' I'm running for my-you know what fine." Allen didn't like Legion's advice, but it wasn't like he had any other ideas. He took a minute to charge up light magic, then unleashed it all in a large force field. It ripped apart the vent and the area around it, and the effort was slightly draining on Allen. He fell down and hit himself on all kinds of different parts of the ships infrastructure. Ironically as battered and bruised as he was by the repeated impacts during the fall, he was actually spared much worse injury because of this, as he was unable to build enough downward momentum to get seriously hurt when he did reach something resembling ground.

He landed relatively near one of the ship's engines, in what was probably a maintenance area. He made sure to get a ways away from the engine, then he launched an explosive ball of light at it. Then another, then another, eventually he destroyed the engine's power source with one and rendered the engine useless. The whole ship lurched as a large part of its propulsion system was suddenly ineffective.

 

Suddenly a burst of light and darkness exploded infront of Phisoxa and the other students. Both Robert and Rako appeared on battling each other as they did before.

Rako raised his hand in the air and summoned pools of darkness to come out from the ground and harm Robert. Rako knew Robert would avoid or shield from these, but this was a two part plan, Rako was setting him up...

However, Rako was surprised by the sudden change of scenery. He examined his surroundings for only a second before returning his focus onto Robert.

 

Allen was suddenly surrounded by a lot of Eclipse soldiers, there was no way to escape this time. The airship quickly adjusted itself to make up for the damage. But the damage was worse then Allen knew, though the ship would be fine he had done something bad, he had attacked Eclipsion soldiers and damaged one of their airships, and airship that had just rescued the other academy students. He had given Eclipsion all it needed to start a war, to them, Janina just attacked them.

 

The damaged ship reminded Allen of what had happened on that other world, suddenly his mind filled with flashbacks of Black Comet destroying Raxtion's home world. And his heart filled up with terror and rage. "FINE! YOU WANT TO FIGHT THAT BADLY? THEN I'LL FIGHT YOU!" He summoned his sword. "I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY ONE KID IS WORTH SO MUCH TROUBLE TO YOU! BUT WHO AM I TO SAY NO IF YOU WANT TO DIE THAT BADLY!" He loosed a light from his body that filled the room and made it impossible for the soldiers to see. "BUT HAVE FUN SHOOTING BLIND!" He rushed one of the soldiers and cut across his knees with his sword. After the soldier fell he was ready to take his head off, but he hesitated, thinking of his conversation with Mixt over the murdered student. He lost his nerve and ran to the opening where the engine's power source had been. He climbed inside and ran to the engine's opening. He leaped out and summoned a board of light to ride on. Heading down toward the forest. His mind full of thoughts of the dead world, and his heart full of guilt.

 

The airship left Janina as Allen escaped. The damage already done.

Robert used light magic to destroy Rako's attack as he took in his surroundings, he was ready to make his move when he sighed "Truce" he said to Rako.

 

Rako laughed at Robert at first, thinking him to be stupid but then Rako thought about the things he had yet to do. He decided to accept the truce for now. "I'm just curious, why a truce?" asked Rako to Robert.

 

"The reason for our fight is gone, the academy is evidently destroyed and we gain nothing from going on" Robert said, ready if Rako refused his peace offering.

 

"This is truth. The next time we meet, however, I will kill you." said Rako as he dissappeared in a portal.

Nny walked casually up to Robert "Who was that a**hole?"

 

"You can try, historically it has never happened" Robert said to Rako as he vanished "Just a demon sent to torment and corrupt the world, apart from that he's not a bad guy" Robert said to Nny. Robert counted the group "Only 23" he said sadly.

 

Nny looked at the survivors. "Yeah... it was pretty bad..." said Nny. But Nny didn't feel sadness, he said it was a terrible thing, and Nny could admit that to himself, but he felt no real remorse for those who had passed. He just didn't care.

 

Allen neared the ground and crash landed. Now that the adrenaline had worn off he could actually feel the pain from everything he hit while he was falling through the ship; several of his bones were broken and he was going to be bruised all over. On top of that, he had been moving fast when he crashed his light board and had broken at least one more bone doing that, as well as cutting open one of his arms. Thankfully the cut didn't seem to be bleeding too badly. He tore off a piece of his shirt and tied it around the wound.

After everything that had happened just now, and everything that had happened in the past few days, Allen just couldn't deal for a moment. He slammed his fist on the ground and cried out. Then he just broke down and cried for a while, partly from the pain. Mostly though, because hiding his emotions was beginning to take a toll on him. He wanted to see Jen.

After crying for a few minutes he stood up (a painful and difficult effort), dried his tears and began walking. He hoped to find Phisoxa, although, he now realized, he had no idea where she was or even if she had actually gotten off the ship. He had a job to do though, and he knew from Legion that, whatever it was, she was a part of it.

 

Phisoxa ran into the forest and found Allen, hiding in there. "Allen! Hey, you, is everything okay?!"

 

Allen looked at Phisoxa and did his best to give a cocky smile as he walked up to her. "You kidding? I'm fine. I just need a little--" He cringed in pain, "healing." He looked down at his ripped shirt. "And a new shirt."

 

Phisoxa looked at Allen with sorrowful eyes. "Allen, do you have any idea what you've done? That ship that you just..." Phisoxa tried to find the more fair term "... damaged! You have started something awful!" Phisoxa then sighed and began healing him. "Hold still." she said "I can't fix the shirt, but I can heal you. I just can't believe how you are acting! What do you have to say about yourself?!"

 

Allen zipped up his vest to hide the torn shirt until he could get a new one. As usual, Allen tried to play it cool. "My life was in danger and I did what I could to save myself. By the way, what have I started, exactly?"
