Wartime Reverie

Robert sensed the energy starting to build up “We are out of time” he said as he used his time magic to teleport Nny away, along with the few remaining students including Mixt. Meanwhile on the roof “No promises” the man chuckled as he flew up. The gathered formed into a magic circle, at the centre of the circle was a dimensional rift. As the man flew up Robert finally got to the roof “So it was you” he said to Rako, he also noticed the man flying up but didn’t have time to acknowledge him.

 

Legion paused. "Oh... um, no. See I usually sleep in my chair. I do not have any beds, I'm sorry."

Rako chuckled at his partners response and then waited for the light show. Then Robert showed up and acknowledged Rako. Rako thought it only fair to do the same. "Why, hello." said Rako to Robert. "I see my reputation preceeds me. How... careless... I make an effort not to be discovered by the world, yet it seems you already know who I am. Let's skip the formalities and get right to the point. What do you want, boy?"

 

"You, dead" Robert said casually as he took a fighting stance "I know I know, I have a lot of work ahead of me, you don't die easily, I am aware of it. But there is a first for everything" Robert said using his creation magic to create a barrier around his body to combat Rako's primary absorbing ability. Where ever Rako grabbed him the barrier would focus there and repulse the demon.

 

Rako created two dark swords and immediatly began slashing and hacking at Robert, not leaving any time to talk. Rako went easy on him, testing his abilities before he got serious.

 

"So where am I-and where are the girls- supposed to sleep?," Allen asked. "Do you have like, a hammock I could set up somewhere, or something? I kept one in a drawer in my room at the academy, but I doubt that'll help now."

 

"Yeah, no, that won't help." Said Legion "And all I have here are books. I didn't plan on having you guys here long, just until the school is destroyed."

 

Robert was ready for the attack, he was able to keep dodging both attacks until an opening appeared, it was when Rako slashed down, as the blade went down Robert stood on top of the blade, pinning it on the ground and leaving Rako open on one side. Robert increased the barrier on one hand and punched Rako, it probably wouldn't hurt and there was a good chance Rako wouldn't flinch but Robert was sending a message more then anything. Rako wasn't going to die here, Robert knew that.

 

Rako took the punch in stride. It didn't hurt him, but Rako decided to back up regardless to get another chance to attack Robert. This time in full force. The message was made and now Rako was going to make him pay. Rako stood back and dismissed his two dark swords. He then raised his hand in the air and summoned pools of darkness to come out from the ground and harm Robert. Rako knew Robert would avoid or shield from these, but this was a two part plan, Rako was setting him up...

 

"Then where are we staying? We did just lose our home after all." Allen was upset to learn they wouldn't be here long and that snapped him out of his drowsiness, he had hoped to study these books to try and learn something that would help them, like how to defeat the monsters that had attacked the school.

 

Robert created a barrier around himself. But before he or Rako could continue their fight the magic circle above the academy disappeared. In its place was a massive rift in dimensions. For a few minutes it did nothing, then a massive tidal wave of darkness came crashing down, engulfing Robert and Rako as it spread threw out the academy, killing the creatures and destroying the academy and the surrounding lands. After it was done the land was flat with white flowers blooming across it, there was no land marks, no hills, lakes or ruins, just flat land. The students and teachers that Robert Teleported away reappeared in the field, about 21 survivors. Roughly in the position they had been standing when they vanished. Meanwhile Rako and Robert were teleported to two different random locations.

 

" Are you going to ever let us leave this place or are we stuck here?" Phisoxa asked as she read through the journal that she held in her hands, it's pages pulsing a blue color that lit up the contour of her face. Shero was resting in a armchair as she listened to them speak .

 

"No, you may come here if you want information, but that is all. Where you go for shelter is not my concern, it is yours. I have saved you from a terrible fate, and you will come with me when I have need for you." said Legion to Allen.

"You may leave whenever you like. I can teleport myself in and out, but that door over there..." Legion pointed to a plain wooden door. "... will take you to the last place you were before you came to this dimension. If you want to go now, you can. It is safe again." Legion then turned looked at them all. "Balance must be restored in the universe and you all are the ones to do it."

Nny was fighting those monsters, felt a hand touch him, and now he was standing in a field of flowers. What was going on? He stood up and examined his surroundings. He looked and saw the students he had been protecting before and then he saw Mixt lying down unconscience. Nny gave him a swift kick to wake him up.

Dr. Traken tended to the remaining students, making sure they were alright. He had no idea what had happened, but he was certain it was the beginning of horrible things yet to come.

 

"So how do we get back if we want information then?" Allen rubbed his eyes. He really wanted to go to sleep, but felt he should learn this before he did anything else.

 

" I would like to leave soon, if I plan on making any progress I need to journey to the capital..." Phisoxa said picking up her book and closing it, sliding it into her school bag as she stood up and brushed herself off.

 

"Can't a guy get a little sleep before he goes off to save the world?" Allen said at Phisoxa. "Just a short nap at least? Or even just one hour?" He turned back to Legion. "Or, if not, maybe you know some magic that can serve as an good substitute for sleep?"

 

Legion quickly teleported behind Allen and put a clothe up to his mouth and nose. "This clothe is drenched in Chloroform. I'm really tired of hearing the same thing over and over again, so I have decided for you. You are going to sleep and I will put you in my chair."

 

Allen attempted to hold his breath and pull the cloth away. He was so tired though that he almost didn't want to resist. After a few seconds his body slumped as he fell into unconsciousness.

 

Mixt rolled over from being kicked and opened his eyes and glanced around a bit as he sat up. "I'm glad I'm alive, but where are we? This hardly seems the best place to bring everyone." Mixt said, not realizing he had hardly moved. "God my head hurts. And everything else for that matter. How long was I out?"

 

Phisoxa's eyes widened when she saw the man chloroform Allen" Where did you get that bottle from? Do you always have it on your person?" Phisoxa said, looking a bit creeped out now that the man had just did something like that.

 

"Dunno." Said Nny "Awhile..." Nny was very short with his responses but only because he felt the need to antagonize Mixt at every turn. It wasn't that he disliked Mixt, no! Not at all! But Nny wanted to challenge Mixt. He wanted to see what this guy was all about. It was a matter of personal gain, if anything. Nny knew he couldn't start the fight, no... He had to antagonize Mixt into initiating the fight.

"I think a better question would be when do I not have it on me..." said Legion as he put Allen in his personal chair. "Now, if you have things to do, do them now, because I'm going to be calling on you soon."
