Have you seen the photo of him coming out of the sea wearing nothing but swim shorts while scratching himself? :v

He made the same mistake. Three times.

Besides, he just would not fit Light's character design. Way too...average sports high school kid. Light's a prodigy, as shown when he's asked to help on the light Kira case by Interpol.

Signed a contract, made himself lots of money. Tends to be what you do your job for, money.

Also, umm the whole point of acting is you aren't being yourself. Playing Light would show if he is a good enough actor to be able to present the image of a slightly deranged genius.

I know, someone just assumed that he was and then we all jumped on the bandwagon.

Okay, now about the movie (becuase i don't really want to talk about that fucktard anymore.)

They say that the american version of the movie is going to be more based on the manga than the movie (which probably means no shori and different sequences). I think this might actuall help the american re-make of it in some way. Also, are they going to "americanize" the names???

    Jesuschristfuck, look at this post.

While i personally have no love for Zac Efron, i think you should learn how the English language works before you talk shit.

I hear "Challagne" is the newest champagne-like alcohol specifically for bums.

Now with an alcohol content of 95%.

With Hollywood going at it with live action this and live action that, I'm pretty much gonna be unmoved by any other announcements now of anime/video games/cartoon turning into films. I mean, if they screw it they screw it. And plus, one live-action Death Note series of films is enough.

I see what you did there.

Well the original director of the first two movies felt he needed the sequel because 1) He wanted a big climactic scene when Light and L first meet face to face and 2) He wanted to show audiences how evil light really is.

I do think that the third movie was unnessesary, but it was still good.

Oh by the way, as irrelevant as this is.

Akira is going to be made into a movie too.

Okay, continue with your Zac Efron ranting now.

It's supposed to be out next summer : D

But I think Zac Efron will be good for the role, I dont know why everyone is butthurt over him being Light, your going to still see it.

Now the real question is: Who's gonna be L?

Well, i was thinking about that for awhile. I know gonna get killed for saying who I would chose for it. I might as well say it.

    Robert Pattinson

Okay, before you say anything let me explain. First, you Zac Effron fans say that there are good actors but they chose to act in horrible movies. Granted Twilight isn't the best movie (not the worst either) i've ever seen, he is a good actor. He also acted in the Harry Potter movies (shudders). He's also british and so is L, he can do the paisty white skin thing, and all they need to do is give him messy black hair.

    What.

The Harry Potter movies are great. Granted, not the best, but far better than any other book-to-movie series you'll find in theatres these days.
