Hello all.I recently got into playing warhammer fantasy.i've been playing small skrimishes for about 2 weeks now getting the basics down.been watching matches at my local card shop for about 4-5 months now.always had a slight interest in table top games.i also play star wars minis,and i play a few different zombie table top games.anyways,i was just curious on who else played warhammer.if you do,post here.give tips on the different armies.list what you run.talk about epic games you've had in the past,just whatever.and i would like to add that i run the uber awesome wood elves.
I have been playing/painting the LotR figures for let's see.. 5 years now. It's totally awesome, and I have a sh*t load of Ultra marines too (just because they where cool to paint), but I don't do the game of Warhammer 40k, simply because I don't get it, and LotR is way easier, and still fun. Also.. I'm a huge fanatic of LotR so that's why I chose LotR instead of Warhammer and/or Warhammer 40k. Wood Elves are awesome too, but I prever the skeleton guys more.
that's awesome.i've seen some of the elves models for lotr,there pretty cool looking.i would love to get into the lotr game,but not of very many people play it around where i live,so i don't want to dish more money than i really have to.i still don't understand all the rules for 40k either,that's why i chose fantasy.not as many rules to learn,it's cheaper to get into than 40k too.
40k Ork 'player' here. I say 'player', because I haven't actually painted them up, so I haven't played with them yet. I used CSM for a while though and I read online, so I know the rules.
Hah back to good old times DX We used to play scrims together with my mates... sometimes it was space marines vs orcs all thought there were never enough of sm s :S Haha we customized the characters alot, like sometimes one orc had minigun taken from space marines ship....
