War for Sori

A bright light crossed the sky.

It was Sinder returning from the heavens.

Her wings were wrapped around her and she seemed to be sleeping.

But she was fully aware of where she was heading: Redfog.

As the girl came close to the town she ran into the makeshift plane, crashing it and herself into the square of the city.

 

Keelina backed off and stared at the wreckage. What the-? She saw the girl that crashed and examined her. What the hell just happened?

Mya saw the crash and ran up. What's going on? This isn't supposed to happen! She ran up and gasped when she saw the girl. S-Sinder?!

 

The girl shook some debri off and looked up at Mya.

"Hey, long time no see partner in crime," she smirked jokingly as she sat upright and rested her arm on her knee.

Sinder looked at Keelina, "I thought I heard somethin' 'bout new recruits."

She shot her wings open and ran her hand through her brown hair.

 

Mya ran up and gave her a hug. It's been so long!

Keelina blinked. Umm...so.

Mya looked up. Oh I'm sorry! Keelina, this is Sinder. Sinder, meet Keelina.

 

Sinder got all stiff when Mya hugged her.

"Aye... still not used to hugs..."

She looked up at the girl, "Nice to meetcha newbie."

 

Demetrio walked up to Sinder and held his hand out he quickly withdrew it ah the hell with it he gave Sinder a hug you know we can talk more later but i think i can hear the guards hauling ass over here so we had better hurry to save those people

 

Sinder remained stiff as Demetrio hugged her.

"Am I going to have to get used to hugs?"

She looked in the direction of where the sound of soldiers came.

"You guys can get em.

I've got a while of butt-kicking to get out of my system."

 

Mya smiled and pulled out her gunblade. This wasn't part of the plan, but things happen.

Keelina started to mutter some enchantments.

 

Demetrio looked over at Mya we need to really double time it to save those civilians but i have just the thing....... everyone look straight down he pulled out a jammer bomb and threw it straight up we have fifteen minutes before any of their tech will work again so lets hurry to save the people.

 

Mya nodded and ran for the stadium.

Hark flew by examining the situation.

 

"Alrighty then, here we...go."

Sinder pulled out twin double edged blades tipped with gold.

"Picked up these babies on the way down."

She took off in the direction of the hostages, moving with incredible speed and agility.

 

Mya ran inti the stadium and saw a large crowd of people. Found it. Now we have to set them free. Mya started to cut the ropes that held the people.

Keelina stared at awe how Sunder could fight.

 

"Keelina... have you ever heard of someone being burned alive in front of a town for being accused of witchcraft?" she asked before passing her.

The girl took post above the crowd on the roof.

Her eyes intense and gazed down at the civilians.

They seemed to glow a little, giving a demonic-like look to the Sori in her hunched position.

 

Keelina frowned and looked after Sinder. Witchcraft? You mean like the one back then?

 

"Reading palms, stars, swirls, seeing into the future, levitation, all that jazz.

Do you know of anyone being burned because of being falsely accused by it?"

 

Keelina shuffled from feet to feet. Not that I know of. You're not taking this to a point where someone here actually got burned?

 

"Oh how right you are my little one.

Someone here has been.

Been burned to the point of death."

 

Keelina looked at Sinder. It's you then. You were burned to death I suppose.

 

"It's hard to leave everyone you know behind...

To leave the one you love behind...

I was born about 300 years ago in a small village that no longer is on a map.

It is a pain to live in this world of suffering for over 300 years.

I still do not know why I still push to stay here.

I suppose I feel like I have a purpose here.

But it is also hard to see people with their partners, knowing that I had lost mine."

 

Keelina sighed. Even through the pain, you still care about the world. Your friends. Mya. Just because you have no emotions doesn't mean you're restricted.
