War for Sori

Hark sighed. I believe so too. Sometimes reality is too horrible to accept. He looked up.

 

Sinder turned from Hark and started walking into the forest.

"If the story is true, I believe the gaurdian is one of us.

One of us that went on that last raid."

 

Hark followed her in silence before answering. Possibly. Do you think we should let her know?

 

"If we tell her she will have to go through our spirits.

We will all have to sit down and a shaman will use magic to determine who is intertwined with her soul.

It is a dangerous process for it is not fool-proof.

The person picked may not be the true gaurdian..."

She stopped and pondered to see if there was a sure-fire way to see who was her gaurdian.

 

He sighed. It's best if we-keep it away from me? Mya stepped out of the woods wearing a head bandage.

 

"Oy vey..."

Sinder said to herself as Mya stepped out.

She looked at Mya.

 

Mya leaned on a tree. It sucks being the way I am. I never wanted to be the fate of 2 races.

 

"I'm sorry Mya.

I'm sorry that you had to hear this now.

I was hoping to tell you when I found a way to."

Sinder felt sad for her.

 

Mya sighed. Please don't. If this was my fate, then I accept my fate then. She scratched her ear.

 

"Ok then, as you wish," she said to Mya.

"So what happens now?"

She looked at the girl with concern for her well-being.

 

Mya sighed and shrugged. The only thing to do now is to prepare and wait for fate to take over.

 

Rita had only just noticed that Mya was gone...
sighing to herself, she walked out of the tent and wondered aimlessly around outside.

 

Hark poked Mya on the shoulder. Mya can I talk to you? She nodded. Sure. What's up? Hark whispered inside Mya's ear for a couple of minutes and then Mya eyes lit up. That's a brilliant idea Hark! We should definatly do that!

 

Leyna had listened quietly to Sinder, slipping out with Mya. "You know, I think we all have a part to play if this going to work and we all need eachother" She looked at Mya, "So, what's the plan?"

 

Mya nodded. Yes we all do. And to do that, we need a plan. Hark suggested that since we're so stressed out, we can't really make one up. So he suggested that we head to a town called Reayn.

 

"Reayn? Why there?" Leyna asked.

 

Mya scratched her head and ears. It's the only city which the human government doesn't know. Actually, humans and Sori come together there to befriend each other. It's the safest city in this land.

 

"That sounds great to me. So, where is this city?" Leyna paused for a second "Actually, Mya can I talk to you alone for a second?"

 

Mya nodded. Alright sure. She walked a but farther out so Hark or Sinder wouldn't hear. So what is it?

 

"I hope I'm wrong about this but you know how twice we've been caught in traps. It's seemed like the humans knew exactly what we were going to do before we did it. As if somebody was telling them all our moves and warning them. Do you think we could have a traitor among our ranks? I mean I hope not and I don't like suspect everyone, but it seems too much like coincidence. And imagine what would happen if they showed the humans where the city was" She shook her head. "I hope I'm wrong"
