War for Sori

Mya stepped out of her tent and headed to the supply area. She waved at Hark. Good morning Hark. Did you have to wake me up like that? Hark chuckled and patted her on the head. Well today is a bit more hectic than usual. Mya sighed. It's not going well isn't it? Hark looked down. We aren't doing so well.

 

Sinder woke up from a deep sleep in the forest and yawned, "Why does dawn have to come so early?" She scratched her back and stretched a little. "Well I ain't getting any younger," she said as she leaped into the air to find the nearby waterfall. The morning air was cool and refreshing on her face and against her wings.

 

Mya strted to pack up her stuff. Hark I'm gonna bring some food. Alright. Don't get lost in there alrigt? Mya nodded and set off into the woods searching for a river.

 

Sgt. St James focused on her map of the immediate area as she took a drag of her cigarette. They had cleared out the Sori in the last area they had covered, and now they had new prey to search out and take down. St. James smiled. She loved new assignments.

Gears sighed as he fixed up the jeep carrying the ammo. He hated new missions, but it was what the boss wanted. And the boss was a major bee-yatch, so he didn't feel like crossing any lines.

 

Exik walked over to James. James, may I speak with you for a minute?

Mya was at the riverside happily catching fish and meowing. So nice that the fish are still here. Unlike the cities where everything is meager. She caught another fish and placed it in her basket.

 

St. James huffed, then smiled coldly. "Exik, we've been over his. It's St. James. As in one of the disciples. As in being canonized." She took another drag. "Anyway, what is it? We don't have much time for talk."

 

Leyna had been up early and was high up in a tree gazing around at the landscape around her. She knew soon she would have to go and get some work done but for now she just enjoyed the peace and quiet. It helped her to think.

 

Well... He scratched his chin. According to our soldiers, someone sabatoged our munitions base at the city of Redfog. I don't know of it's human activity or Sori activity. I need you to find out and eliminate them.

Mya sighed as she finally got a full basket of fish. We're going to have a feast tonight. She was walking before she looked around and stopped. Wait. I'm sure it was this way...oh no. I'm lost. She stomped in fustration. Great. How am I supposed to get back to base?

 

Leyna frowned as she saw somebody stomping down below and looking around. Curious to find out what they were doing, Leyna in one fluid motion streched her wings, lept of the tree and gently glided down to them.

 

Not noticing Leyna, Mya sighed. Guess I better find someone. As she turned around, she sees Leyana and jumps. Ah! My god you scared me. Who are you?

 

Leyna just laughed, "I'm Leyna, you looked a little lost"

 

She sighed in embarassment. Yes I am lost here. Nice to meetcha. I'm Mya. Do you know the way around here.

 

"Pleasure to meet you Mya and kinda. I don't really but it's a lot easier to see where you're going from high up, so where do you want to go?" Leyna smiled warmly at her, it felt good to help someone not hurt them for once.

 

She shuffled. Well, there's a camp around here somewhere. She examined her wings and sighed. I wish I could fly.

 

Leyna laughed, "Well, I wish I could do all the stuff you can. I'll never be so nimble" She thought for a moment, "Tell you what, do you want to see what it's like? Go for a ride?"

 

She stared at her. Wait, you mean I go on you? I can't do that! I'm afraid of heights. Even if I weren't, you may not be able to carry me.

 

Leyna shrugged, "Okay, just a thought. I thought it would be worth a try but it doesn't matter. Anyway I'm pretty sure I saw your camp over there" She pointed in one direction.

 

Oh really? Thanks! She gave a happy meow. Don't you have a place to go to Leyna?

 

Leyna shrugged, "Probably but I'm in no rush. I got up early so I wouldn't be"

 

She smiled at her. Well, then would you like to come to our base? We'll have some fish for lunch. She gave another happy meow and twitched her ears.
