War for Sori

Liv looked sharply at Sasha, "No." She said strongly with conviction in her voice. She'd never stood up to Sasha before but this was wrong. The usual timid Liv stared at Sasha, a fierce fire burning in her eyes. "No." She repeated. "This isn't over. We are not giving up on Mya, we are a team or have you forgot that? We can get her back, they haven't beat us. Start listening to us and seeing the other options. We are not as weak as you think we are."

 

Sasha sighed and glumly stared at the fire. I'm sorry I spoke like that. I'm just...stressed. Let's start brainstorming. If what he says is right, then I can go since they can detect my magic. Air travel is impossible since they know we could come by the air. Ground travel seems like the only way, but even so, it's heavily guarded. We need like a model of the place...

 

Sinder and Zerci appeared from out of the trees.

Zerci's wing was wrapped around Sinder and the two were holding hands.

"Don"t worry, we got this."

They held out their free hands, Sinder producing a smoky purple dragon in her hand and Zerci producing a smoky blue one in hers.

"We can link our vision to these or have them scan the area and produce a visual model."

"Since they are made of vapor they are virtually indestructable."

 

Sasha nodded. That's a great idea. Would you scout the compound with those?

 

"I may still be able to locate or contact Mya mentally, though I may need a power boost." Liv spoke carefully, "Also when we actually go in, I have my illusions which can either create a distraction or make them think no one is there when we're standing right in front of them" She paused and smiled, "Even create the illusion of the captain giving them orders. "Plus we could read the mind of a guard or someone who wouldn't be able to know we are doing it to find out more. Also do you think it'd be a good idea to reestablish the mind link so that when we're in there we can talk via our thoughts? Unfortunatly transport is not my strong point."

 

Sinder turned towards Liv.

"That is a good idea young one."

Zerci also turned to the girl.

"My magic is not as strong as Sinder's, but I can help you with your illusions, I am not much of a fighter."

Sinder then turned to Sasha.

"Sure, we can scan the area with these."

She turned back to Liv.

"Transport will not be a problem.

Zerci and I can turn into either dragons or wolves so we could fly or run you guys in.

To practice your magic, you can put a cloak us using an invisibility spell.

If you seem that you can't hold it then Zerci and I can cloak ourselves."

"We can make ourselves as big as needed to hold you guys on our backs so accommodations will not be needed."

She rubbed Sinder's hand with her thumb.

 

Sasha nodded. It sounds all good, but the main factor here is-

-time. The gray hoode man stepped out of under a tree and into a fire. He looked the same except a bloody hole on his robe.

Sasha stared at him. Why are you here?

He shrugged. That's not what matters is it? I can help you guys navigate the fortress in no time.

Why would you help us? How do we know it's not a trap?

He pulled off his hood, revealing a gray haired man with 2 cat ears sticking out. Because I'm one of your kind. And Mya means a lot to me too.

 

Leyna smiled in pleasent suprise, could this day get any stranger? She wasn't sure they should be so quick to trust him but Mya was in trouble, he was a sori and who were they to deny help when it come knocking. Maybe for once they had a little look.

Liv looked down and bit her lip.

 

Demetrio looked at the new sori how do you know Mya? I'm curious mostly because I have never seen you before

 

Rita glanced up at the new Sori, thinking back to a similar moment when Mya was captured by her father and how there was an undercover "spy" behind enemy lines. She smiled at him, wondering whether he was trust worthy or not.

Jade gruffed as the new Sori came up to them. "And how do we know we can trust this one?" He turned to Sasha

Karol glanced curiously at Liv as she looked down when the new Sori came over to them, wondering what was wrong with her.

 

Grey looked over at Dementrio. That's none of your concern. He looked back at the others. I don't expect any of you to trust me. In fact, I'm in the crossfire. I've been betrayed by the humans and you see me as not fit for you. Reject me if you like, but I know their compound more than any of you. They could be even taking her out towards the Capitol.

Sasha eyed him, sorta on the fence as she didn't have either intentions on his offer.

 

Demetrio shook his head you are right I've no reason to trust you but you know a lot so I'll let your actions judge my trust

 

Sinder yawned lazily.

"I do not really care if you are a Sori or not, nor do I care if you have been having business with the humans..."

She trailed off.

Why are we risking our lives for this girl?

None of us even know her besides her name.

She turned towards Grey.

"Let me see your wound."

Zerci looked at the man skeptically.

She was never good with strangers due to her and Sinder's social disabilities.

 

Leyna looked at the others trying to gauge their reactions before looking back at the man, "Sorry if we seem mean but you must understand why we must be wary. We do not know you, you could be leading us straight into a trap. Although, who are we to decline when help is served on a sliver platter? We are short on time and we need to find Mya quickly. Though if we do go with you, I should warn you we don't take kindly to traitors. Though, of course, it is not my descision." She nodded looking at the others, waiting to see there verdict.

Liv made no movement, staying as silent as possible.

 

Grey looked at Sasha. Don't worry. I won't betray any of you. Right Sasha?

Sasha looked back and sighed. Whatever. Sure. Give us a few minutes to gather up. She poked at the fire, looking annoyed.

 

Leyna frowned as she watched Sasha, something was up that she wasn't telling them. Not she ever told them everything but still. Leyna felt her curiousity return and she felt the old familar sensation she used to. But she knew better than to act on it now, she would find out what it was eventually but for now she had bigger things to worry about. For now, she'd just keep an eye on Sasha.

 

Sasha stood up. Alright. We'll accept your help Grey. Give us a few minutes to get ready.

Grey nodded and leaned on the tree, waiting for the others.

 

Demetrio gather what little things he had and was prepared in only a few minutes
