erm... I actually did have Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh as one of my childhood heroes, oddly enough. I guess I admired his hard work, and sympathized with his failed attempts to politely ask Pooh to shove off and stop mooching his honey.

There you have it. Obscure childhood hero.

 

I wouldn't, unfortunately, because of how so many people around the age of or younger than 20 constantly bitch that Superman is somehow a "boring character," rather than trying to understand the themes contained in his stories.

 

I expect Peter Rabbit from Beatrix Potter stories,disappointed.
