I have some projects where I've done extras, such as attack exhibitions and the like.

For the average players, extras aren't generally counted, correct? Like, if I start a walkthrough on, say, Spyro: A Hero's Tail on June 20, 2014 and defeat the final boss, beating the game, on June 30, 2014, but later on, say, July 10, 2014, do some extras, like collecting all of the items to get 100%, the end date of the walkthrough would be June 30, 2014, correct?

a walkthrough carries the implication that it is a guide for the entire game
    playthroughs and let's plays don't

I'm not sure how that's answering the question, but walkthroughs and playthroughs are the same thing, though, aren't they?

I think it's hilarious how someone responds to an answer to a question that wasn't asked by asking the question to said answer.

Well you're asking when it counts as being done right? if it's a walkthrough, I'd say when you did all the extras, if it's a playthrough it's the moment you beat the final boss.
The terms are similar, but a walkthrough implies you're walking someone through a game, which comes with the assumption you see the game to completion. A playthrough works on the logic that it's you playing through the game, with no implied standard of education. So a whenever you as the player chose to end it would be the end
...is that the question? I honestly couldn't tell. Are you telling us when the thing ends, or do you actually want to know?

    Okay, here's an example: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL204FA89E1D15FDAA

As you can see at the top of the playlist, it ended February 5, 2011.

Now, look at the video descriptions for part 36 and then the second extras video. Would the end date be February 5, 2011 or February 26, 2011?

That's honestly completely arbitrary and up to you. Personally, I'd put both, so people looking for the final boss know where to go

Yeah, of course. I just wanted to get an opinion from a general point of a view. Since they're all in a playlist (part 36 contains the final boss), I think the one end date is enough, personally. Also, that's the whole reason why I started keeping track of the dates each part was recorded in 2011 and putting them into the video descriptions.

Back on the topic at hand, I can also see counting the extras becoming problematic. For example, there were challenges I had to skip in my Crash Bash walkthrough because I just couldn't win after, like, 50 tries or so. (I still have to fix the total parts number and skips in the part numbers, which will be done soon. I did it intentionally because I was going to record what I couldn't do shortly afterward, but didn't.) So, if I decided to do extras tomorrow, which would include everything I couldn't do, it would seem kind of crazy to have an end date of June 12, 2014 when everything else is from 2012.
