VMK is closing!

if anyone knows the site VMK...or virtual magic kingdom..its closing MAY 21st, 2008!

Really? I remember walking around Disneyland and seeing vendors signing people up for that and giving out free virtual gifts in accordance with some kind of scavenger hunt.

...i wonder if my guy is still in that world...

 

Really? I don't mean to offend you, but thank god.

My little sister is on there all the time, i think that once it shuts down she'll hardly ever be on the computer anymore, which would be pretty freakin sweet.

 

LOL it doesnt offend me..i just grew up on it its a shame to see it gone.oh yeah i remember when the vendors were handing that stuff out too..

 

Yea, I got this 'free' pirate swag from PotC before they closed it down to do the upgrades....maybe that's why i'm a pirate these days....

 

Haha maybe ... i dont really play VMK as much as i used to but i am still upset because i grew up on it..i think something happened because you just dont shut downa successful website like that.

 

Well the dude said that they had originally planned on just having it up and running for the 50th anniversary and that was...2 years ago. It's possible that the support just wasn't there or they are creating something better. Now that I think about it, i didn't see any vendors in Disneyworld last month....

 

oh..yeah i never see vendors anymore and the closed VMK central in disney and i was wondering..i hope they replace it with something more mature and something you can say things without improvising

I mean...er....Narkio isn't the name of the VMK character I've had since 2005 Halloween and have collected a vast majority of rare pins and items...

I hadn't been on it, but I heard about it when I went to Disney World.

So i just logged on after two years, No one told me Tomorrow land was finally opened!?!?....and my character was deleted....

I mean I spent 3 years collecting rare stuff and they close it down. Lol.
Yavn lied, he said VMK would be around for a long time. And he doesn't really seem to care that's it's closing. "After VMK closes you still get to play ClubPenguin, PotC Online and Toontown" or whatever he said.... you have to pay for those games! VMK was free the only free game >_> (well you have to pay for merchandise at DLR or WDW but that's for people who want to buy that stuff).

And the pins/cards are still being sold at the stores. Cheap! x_X

Well it was getting kinda boring anyway.I only got on to play the PotC minigame

 

they r proabably going to make a new site and charge for it -_-
