i think that the Xbox 360 is best even though ive never tried wii:) so ill just compare the xbox 360 and ps3...

So i think that the ps3 is over priced even though it can play blue ray and stuff still... and you do not need blue ray yet cause everything is released in dvd still and they don't make games for it yet unlike the xbox 360 what has thousands of games and theyre still making more and the xbox is cheap too but it doesn't have as good graphics then ps3 but i think that the graphics are irrelevant as long as the gameplay is good but when it comes to live... Xbox:es live is very costy and ive heard that ps3 is free so points for that... But my opinion is that when they find the true potential in the ps and start making more games on it and maeby even drop the price of the console then it will win but for now the xbox wins...:):):)

the overprice thing is really an opinion and it varies for everyone. i personally think it IS overpriced. i do know there is a difference between overpriced and expensive. and i believe the PS3 is overpriced AND expensive.

and i havent' seen ANY commercials for PS3 games ever btw.

Wow. that definately contributes some sort of argument.

PS3 is a good system, but the online is horrible when it comes to getting disconnected

Here is my problems with the PS3:

    1. Majority of their non-exclusive games are ported versions of 360 games. This actually is fairly true, I do not need to back myself up with anythying other than the words 'Fallout 3' and 'Call of Duty: World at War'

    2. They need to appeal to more genres with exclusives. Honestly, it does seem like they have lost their flare with all the exclusives since they are starting to turn every single one into a shooter. Example: Killzone 2, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank Future: ToD, MGS4, Resistance, etc. It seems Infamous, God of War, and LBP are the only ones that are not. The PS2 used to be known for having an extensive amount of exclusive platformers, aciton games, and RPGs to go along with thier shooters and that is what most expected out of the PS3. As it turned out, the 360 now topples it in numbers as far as good RPGs. Platformers just don't exist anymore. And action games are similar on both consoles though the 360 is slightly ahead. As controdictory as it seems, my point is still fairly valid.

    3. Fix their servers. This is a big one for me; people need to shut up about XBL's pricing when PS3 shows free doesn't mean better. I remember playing LBP when it first came out and it was just ridiculous how bad the lag was, even in single player, just because of how populated the servers were. Halo 3 and GoW2 have extremely populated servers as well and now lag is at a minimal even for GoW2. Fallout 3 crashes when somebody signs on. Socom and MGO takes forever to get in a game; and you have to go through tons of hoops to get online. Warhawk I haven't heard any complaints about though.

    4. Sony needs to shut up. Honestly, every single year Sony comes out saying 'this is the year of the PS3!' and then ten seconds later they get royally f*cked. Not a big complaint, but dear god it is annoying.

    5. Price drop needed. Sony lost a billion dollars; they can afford a price drop to be on par with other consoles. If they had equvilent prices, people would be able to legitly complain about XBL costing them more money (maybe). I dunno it stillseems like it is a $100 too much.

Other than that, PS3 isn't bad. Some of the games they do have are pretty awesome; especially graphically. and I have no problem admitting the PS3's arcade is better than the XBLA. But still, it's ignorant to say it doesn't need a good amount of fixing. A game as well hyped as Halo 3 would help as well.

Alrighty folks, newby here and I've got something to say on this subject.

There is no "better" console and on the risk of sounding elitist, thinking otherwise is pretty childish. I own a Wii, an XBox 360, a PSP, a DS and I USED to own a PS2. The only reason I don't have a PS2 anymore is because it broke.... 5 times and the only reason I don't own a PS3 yet is because I can't afford it.

The PS3 is nice. I've had plenty of hands-on time to know this, but it is too damn expensive for how few exclusives it has that are worth playing. So far, the only exclusive games, among the ones that are already released, that I find appealing are Metal Gear Solid 4, Ratchet and Clank, Resistance 2 and Valkyria Chronicals. It doesn't help that Sony's strategy seems to be along the lines of "put out new models every few months to have an excuse to keep the price up despite the fact that expense is one of the reasons people are unwilling to buy it." With both competing consoles at around half the price of the cheap PS3, I wonder how long Sony can keep putting off price cuts.

The 360 is also nice. With games such as Gears of War, Left 4 Dead and Mass Effect, plus exclusive downloadable content for games such as Grand Theft Auto 4 and Fallout 3 (though I feel for PS3 users on this subject as its a very dirty tactic of Microsoft to buy exclusive content) and the cheapest price point of the three big consoles for the Arcade pakage, its a pretty nice deal. However, all is not good. The machine's failure rate, while greatly reduced by hardware revisions, is pretty bad and it is underpowered compared to the PS3, not to mention Microsoft's dirty tactics (of which Sony isn't completely innocent of, they just don't make it a habit like Microsoft does). And, while games like Mass Effect and Left 4 Dead aren't available on the PS3, they are available on PC.

The Wii is best as a companion console. It has some great games like No More Heroes, Metroid Prime 3 and Super Smash Bros Brawl, but, really, lets be honest. Games like those are few and far between with Nintendo moving their focus onto the casual market. Does a casual focus mean we should rule the Wii out alltogether? Not at all. The Wii is only US$250, which compared to the PS3's $400-$500 and the 360's $200-$400, is not much. I just wish some developer would give me something more to look forward to that isn't No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle.

what do you mean companion console? do you mean having it alongside another one of the other consoles? anyways, i also heard good things about Tales of Symphonia 2: Dawn of the New World, it's a multiplayer action RPG. i never actually trie dit myself though. and i kinda think that the Wii's games have been kinda dull lately, i need something to look forward to as well.

That's actually exactly what I mean by companion console.
