Virtual Hell

She sighed heavily and pinched teh bride of her nose. This girl..., she thought to herself in slight annoyance. "Whatever, forget it, I'm going!" She shouts, half hoping the other heard and reverse psychology would work. I mean, she was just worried about the girl. She believed in freewill, so if she wanted to run away, so be it.

Without wasting a beat, Civia turned and began to walk away. She really needed rest; things were always better after sleeping.

 

OOC: I just want to clarify that when Nick said "you both" he was referring to Sammy and his dad, not Civia.

IC: Nick awoke with a headache from some loud yelling that was going on outside of the forest. "The hell is going on?" He asked himself. He got up, stretched and walked toward the sound. He stepped out from the trees to see Civia yelling at someone. He looked in the direction of where she was shouting...it was Sammy "She's still afraid? What the hell?" He thought. He noticed Sammy searching in the grass for something. She picked it up, it was Nick's Tomahawk. He stuck his hand in the belt loop that held his Tomahawk to see if it really was his. "Dammit, I need that!" He thought. He noticed that both Sammy and Civia were then looking in oppisite directions from each other. "Now's my chance!" He thought as he ran towards Sammy. He held back the urge to make any vocal noise to prevent being discovered, even though the sound of him running would probably get him caught anyway.

 

While Sammy was pondering what to do with the ax, she heard some rustling coming from behind her and saw an angry Nick charging down to where she was. Aww man. And just when I had finished recovering from the previous chase! Sammy took off immediately still holding the ax. She really just wanted to throw it back at Nick to distract him so she could get away, but she resisted doing so. She was, after all, confiscating this from him. When do we leave this freaking game? Why do they have to be difficult and prevent us from leaving unless they allow it? Is a log out button really that complicated? Sammy was getting a bit tired of playing tag and keep away. Shows her what happens if she associates with other players.

 

OOC: ...Guess she must have mistakened, then? :3"

IC:

Civia heard the heavy(?) footsteps and turned, only to see Nick running towards the other player. She sighed. Whatever, whatever. I'm out, find more normal players. I'll just try to apologize when I get a proper chance..., she thought, walking away from this mess. She'd just watch over the forest, perhaps. She was getting too sleepy and there seemed to be no animals around. Then again, there were monsters.

She shrugged to herself. She'd have to take the chance.

 

OOC:Eh, not heavy, but not light either.

Nick was aiming to kill this time. Yeah, it was over an axe, but still, he was pissed to the furthest point. "B*tch ain't gonna get far." He thought. His anger seemed to boost his movement, adrenaline rushing, heart pounding,and a mind set to kill. Not long after the chase started, Nick was almost right next to Sammy. Nick unsheathed his blade, ready to fight not only to get his weapon back, but for his rage-fueled vengeance.

 

....I think adrenaline would be more appropriate...

BIC- What the f-?! Oh my gosh, this guy's crazy! He's really serious! Sammy's eyes widened as she realized this. She had not catalogued Nick as an "enemy" yet. Get over it! He's trying to kill you! Come on! However, Sammy was more of a flight than a fight person. Thus, her adrenaline also kicked in as she started to run for her life this time. This cloak is making this so much harder! All this air resistance! I'm not streamlined at all! She took it off and rolled it up into a tight bundle as she continued to run trying to get away faster. She didn't bother taking out a sword just yet. If she was cornered then she would, but for now, she'll be using emergency evasive maneuvers.

 

OOC: Works for me, Adrenaline it is.

"Getting serious, are we?" Nick said in an almost maniacle tone. Nick swung at Sammy, just barely missing her back. He swung and swung, but to no avail. Finally, he lept at her and latched onto her leg, attempting to make her trip. "You're not going anywhere!" He said.

 

OOC: Since I have nothing to do, I hope you mind that I butt in... :3"

IC:
Civia heard faint signs of struggle and spun around. Nick has knocked the other player down. She sighed. That guy..., she thought in exasperation. Taking in a deep breath, she sprinted, going for the trees to hide herself and surprise Nick. She made sure to keep in sight the two and made her footsteps as light as possible. Only so few twigs snapped.

 

"Ahhhh!" shouted Sammy as she fell forward, but she kicked at Nick as she rolled onto the ground before getting up again, conserving most of her momentum and speeding up in her run once more. Panting, her heart fluttering with fear, she continued to run trying to gain distance if she could not find a hiding place. I can't believe this game turned into some crazy game of death tag and hide and go seek.

 

Nick finally gave up on chasing Sammy. "I'll find her again..Next time she won't be so damn lucky.." He growled, stabbing his sword into the ground. He sighed "Why does this happen? Why, why, WHY does this keep happening?!" He yelled. He pulled his blade out of the dirt and started walking. No destination, really, just hoping to find a serene place to either take off the helmet and leave this hellish game or to be left alone. Nick Sheathed his sword. He eventually made it back to the little town he and Sammy had been in before this whole ordeal started. He sat down in the inn, on the ground sat the note he had written Sammy about leaving to deal with the forest fire. He tossed it aside, and thought. He thought things like "Is there something wrong with me?" and "Why did I even join this damn thing?!" His thoughts were all over the place.

 

Sammy continued to run until she noticed that she couldn't hear anyone following her. Turning her head, she couldn't see Nick or anyone else at all. What if he's hiding? she thought panicked. Slowly, she took out a sword, and moved the bundle that was her cloak to her other arm. It was then she realized that she was still holding the axe. What the? I thought I had dropped it back there. Guess not... Concentrating back on the situation, Sammy held the sword steadily eyes wide listening carefully for any movements. Hearing nothing out of the ordinary, she sheathed it again and let out a sigh of relief as she slumped down onto the ground. I wish I could take a nap here. It's so peaceful. But...monsters could pop up at any time. And he may come back. Why did I take this from him? Have I just...stolen this? Oh gods... Sammy groaned as she facepalmed at her stupidity. How was she supposed to get this back to him?

 

Civia sighed, found a rock, and sat on it. She leaned against the tree.

"Quite the pair," she said, commenting to herself. This part of the forest that wasn't burned to ashes was peaceful. She let her eyes droop, thoughts going fuzzy. She crossed her arms, and finally fell asleep.

OOC: Sorry (again) for the delay guys D:
I had a lot of stuff to do, but now that it's spring break for me we can get this started again. Map is in progress, so I'll be posting that soon. :]

"I see where your character's inspiration comes from then," Rei said, smiling, before remembering that once again she had a helmet on. She noted that they were getting a little closer to the mountains and it didn't hit her just how big they really were. She swallowed nervously, thinking about all the monsters that could possibly be living amongst the rocks.

 

Reclining back, Sammy sighed again, wishing that she had never met Nick. It's always the quiet cheerful ones. I'm not going to pick up new party members anytime soon. Vowing herself to this, she lifted her fist into the air and brought it to her heart, still closed. Man, it sucks not being able to log out. It was starting to worry her. No doubt, if her mom found her limp body in her room for more than a few hours, she'll freak out. Maybe this game isn't such a good idea. I wonder if I can...rescind my being a beta tester...

 

Leo looked at the mountain ahead of them. He was full of anticipation as he tried to see if he could spot an area of interest from where he was stood. The mountains where much bigger than expected, it was difficult for him to spot anywhere from the base. Immediately, he began to walk along the mountain's path. Good thing games always have paths, he thought.

 

Something startled her awake. She looked frantically around, her eyes resting on something small and furry. Then, Civia realized it was just her; she was staring at a small patch of dirt and fallen leaves. Must have been a false alarm alerted by her sixth sense. The lack of animals was unnerving, like all the monsters lurking about killed them all. She shuddered; what a pleasant thought...

Ugh, Civia began, I need to move. And keep silent.

As she made sure everything was still with her, deciding being alone was a tad bit better, she realized suddenly that she didn't know what to do. She didn't really know what a save point looked like, either. And no mission was given. She rested up, she's well prepared... What else is there to do?

 

OOC: Huzzah! Everything's started back up!

IC: After a long rest, Nick rose back to his feet, ready to move. He made sure he had everything with him. His Sword, check. His Tomahawk...No. "She still has it.. Whatever, one sword is good enough." He said to himself. He walked outside of the inn, looking for somewhere to go. He chose to go in the direction of the burnt forest. Maybe he could find some way out of the game.

 

Alex glared at his gaming system. He was pondering whether he should enter the game world. Then he thought about that girl he met in the park. The pulled out the crumpled piece of paper with her number on it. "Should I call her?" he said to himself. "No, she's probably in the game anyway." On that note, he turned back to the game and gulped. "Here goes," Alex whispered to himself as he put on the gaming helmet.

TESORI HAS ENTERED​

Tesori looked around his new enviornment. With a slight case of paranoia kicking in, he quickly pulled out his bow. He prayed that a monster wouldn't come, at least not until he met up with someone. Tesori observed his surroundings carefully, ready to shoot at the slightest movement. He sighed and hoped that someone would come.

OOC: I'm not sure if what I just did with the "Tesori has entered" thing is correct because I haven't been here in a while. If not, I'll fix it.

 

Sammy suddenly opened her eyes. Without moving her head, she looked around her. She had moved onto her side and had apparently fallen asleep for a time. How long was I out? It could be minutes..or it could've been an hour... Seeing and hearing no danger coming her way, Sammy sat up and stretched before instinctively checking her left wrist where her watch was attached normally. However, she was met with a band that wasn't her watch. Dang it. Does this game even have a clock? She looked up at the sky that had originally been a bright blue like a robin's egg, but had now turned to a darker shade of red. S-sunset?! Oh man...what am I going to do? Even if there haven't been any monsters so far, thank goodness, night in the wilderness is never a good thing. Should I start preparing for a fire? But that would make me seen. I should at least try and find something that could soften the ground. My back already hurts from the stiff hard ground. She thought as she stretched again. Standing up she looked around and realized she still had the ax. Gaawww....why did I take this? Ah wait a second....I could use this for wood. Well I could use my swords for wood too. *sigh* Sammy began to head for whatever was left of the forest.

 

Civia looked up to the sky and paled slightly. The sun was setting already? I'll pull off an all-nighter. These woods could be crawling with monsters, and I'm not a light sleeper, she thought, a hand to her head. She could do it. She slept a lot today; in the game. Or maybe, it would be better if she found some place to rest.

"Maybe I...should set camp. Or at least find a better place to stay in, in case I fall asleep. The thought of being killed in my sleep...ugh." Civia thought bitterly. She kept moving, eyes focused. Her mind started drifting, searching for anything suspicious in this game. For starters, she couldn't die. The pain felt real. Another is...there were no NPCs. Why? Sure, this was a Beta, but shouldn't they put NPCs in here, for convenience? And the monsters. She was only attacked once, and this whole time, she'd been in a forest and slept in one. Nothing attacked her then.

She sighed. Nothing to do but move.
