Vicksen Elementary School

Jesse quickly followed after Aya, soon appearing by the boiler room.

 

Aya opened the door and went inside, seeing Chelsea and Kasey. She tilted her head. "Are you okay...?" she asked.

Chelsea looked over at Aya. "Yeah... we're fine..." she said and smiled, picking Kasey up.

Kasey had now heard a new voice. "Who else is here...?" she asked Chelsea.

 

"Jesse, ya know me 6th grader remember?"

 

"Aya... I'm a 6th grader, too..." she said and smiled.

"I should probably take her to the infirmary... She cut her arm on a metal pole..." Chelsea said.

"Oh..." Kasey said. "Hi Jesse... Hi Aya..." She said and smiled.

 

"Maybe we shoud come with, just to make sure ya know. Don't want you getting anymore hurt do we?"

 

"Okay..." Kasey said and smiled.

Aya started walking with them to the infirmary. "What were you doing in the boiler room, anyways...?" she asked, looking over at Chelsea.

Chelsea looked over at Aya. "Well, I saw Kasey wandering into the boiler room so I found it best to go after her. But, when I called her name, she turned around and her arm hit a metal pole that was sticking out of the wall..." Chelsea explained.

 

"Ouch... Sounds painful..."

 

"And I'm guessing that's what caused the scream...? Ouch..." Aya said, seeing as that seemed painful. She glanced down at Kasey's arm.

"It looked painful..." Chelsea said as they got to the infirmary. She walked inside with Kasey.

"It was, sort of... It startled me more than it hurt me..." She said.

Aya followed them inside.

 

Jesse sighed slightly as he followed in, why is everyone getting hurt all of a sudden...

 

Aya stopped and looked behind her as she was headed in. "I'll be right back... there's something I need to do..." She said and walked quickly out of the infirmary.

Kasey just listened as she heard Aya leave. What was that all about...? She wondered.

Chelsea wrapped a bandage around Kasey's arm. "There... that should help it a bit..." she said and smiled.

 

"Huh? Aya?" Jesse asked watching her leave.

 

Aya walked down the hallway towards the bigger kid part of the school. That's it... I'm sick of being afraid... She thought. I can get it back... one way or the other...

Chelsea looked at the door. "Maybe someone should go see if she's okay...?" Chelsea suggested.

 

"Yeah, I'll go..." Jesse nodded before heading out after her.

 

Aya stopped in front of the other side of the school and stared down the hallway, looking around. She spotted the guy who had taken her doll. She took a deep breath and then walked up to him, seeing that he had the doll in his hand. "Excuse me..." Aya said to him, trembling. "Um... i accidentially dropped my doll... A-and I believe you picked it up... Can I have it back...?" she asked, looking up at him.

The boy smirked. "Oh... this is yours...?" he asked and laughed. "Well too bad... it came onto our side of the school... It's not yours anymore..." he said and grinned.

"But it was mine first!" Aya said. "That's considered stealing since I didn't give it to you!"

The boy picked her up by the collar of her shirt. "What are you saying...? Are you callin' me a thief, you little twerp?!" He asked.

Chelsea nodded and watched as Jesse left.

 

After a short while Jesse came to a halt on the Big Kids side of the school, and if he listened carfully enough he thought he could make out Aya's voice. And the voice of some other kid, a boy from the sound of it. He quickly followed the sound of their voices and arrived just in time to see him pick her up.
"Oi!" He yelled without even stopping to think "What the f*ck do you think you're doing?! She's half your size and a f*cking girl!"

 

"Maybe I am and maybe I'm not!" Aya shouted, feeling a bit more confidence. She then heard a familiar voice and turned to see Jesse.

The boy tightened his grip on her shirt. "None of your business!" he shouted. "I don't care if she's a girl or not! Nobody talks to me like that!"

 

"What? Calling you a theif? That's what this is all about huh? Or is it the fact you just like being in charge?" He snarled "Because, you ARE a theif you slimey git. I've seen you nicking stuff from shops before now!"

 

The boy growled. "You better watch your tone..." he said to Jesse and threw Aya on the ground next to him. "Here," he said and threw the doll on the ground next to her. He laughed and walked away.

Aya let out a small yell. She looked up at the boy fearfully as he walked away.

 

Jesse stood there for a moment, seething with anger and clentching and unclentching his fists. But then he sunddenly appeared calm again, he slowly turned and knelt down next to Aya. Picking up the doll and offering it her "Looks like you got her back." he smiled.

 

Aya wiped away a few tears that had started to form in her eyes and she smiled. "Thanks..." she said to Jesse and took the doll. She hugged it tightly. I never want to have to do that again... she thought.
