Vicksen Elementary School

Kasey nodded at Jesse but then looked over at William. Her eyes widened when she saw blood and she froze, not moving at all. Her face turned white like she had just seen a ghost.

Chelsea was a little worried. "Oh... okay..." she said. Rose... you better leave him alone... she said.

It's not me... Rose said and laughed.

 

William collapsed onto the ground, out cold.

 

Kasey could feel herself trembling a bit. "A-Are you okay...?" she asked him, even though he wasn't concious. She took a small step forward and kneeled down next to him.

Aya saw a boy nearby collapse onto the ground and she walked over. "Need some help...?" she asked, seeing the frightened expression on Kasey's face. These type of things didn't really bother Aya.

 

"its just that my spirit dislikes it when I ask to many things about how to get rid of it"

 

As he lay there a little blood trickled out of the corner of his mouth.

 

"Yeah... I had the same problem when I was around my grandfather..." she said, remembering how Rose had always tried to make her fall unconcious before she could hear anything that her grandfather said. She started breathing a little heavier as her lungs seemed to be getting smaller. Not right now... she said.

Rose laughed. I'm bored sitting her watching you talk... SOMETHING has to happen... she replied and grinned. If it doesn't happen to you then it's gonna happen to one of your little friends...

Aya bent down and picked William up, heading in the direction of the infirmary.

Kasey followed Aya, her face still white with terror. Is he gonna be okay...? she thought.

 

"Looks like we are both having spirit trouble" He joked breathing hard and eyes turning red

 

William stirred and coughed once more.

 

"Yeah..." chelsea said and laughed a little through her deep breaths. She sat down. That's the first time I've laughed while Rose was acting like this... she thought and winced, clutching her side as she felt a sharp pain.

Rose simpily laughed.

Aya rushed into the infirmary with William and handed him to a nurse. Then she silently walked out, clutching her doll tightly.

Kasey watched as Aya left but followed the nurse.

 

"If you laugh...its like everything is okay. doesnt it seem like that?" He asked while his ears became pointier

 

William came to just enough to pull something out of his pocket. It was a needle which he jabbed into his chest and inserted the liquid inside into himself. The results were almost instantaneous. He relaxed a bit more and his breathing was deeper.

 

Kasey was a bit surprised and she took a step back. "A-Are you okay...?" she asked, her voice shaking.

"Y-Yeah..." Chelsea said, clutching her side hard, but she was smiling. "I-It... d-does... a-a... l-little..." she said through her short breaths. It had become even harder to breathe, and her side still ached.

 

"I'm sorry that I can not help you"

 

William nodded and stood up. Other than him wavering a bit he stood strong. "I'm better," he said wearily.

 

Kasey looked at him. "What happened...?" she asked.

Chelsea looked up at him. "I-It's... fine..." she said and gave a small smile. "Y-you... h-have... y-y-our... o-own... p-problems... t-too..." she said. She bit her lip to keep herself from screaming as the pain in her side grew ten times worse.

You shouldn't be smiling, Rose said, unhappy. It's no fun that way...

 

He was trying his hardest to keep his voice steady "Shes mad isnt she?" He laughed softly "Thats good in one way but on the other hand it means that she will cause you more pain"

 

"I..uh..well....um..You see.....ugh." he said and finally spit it out. "I...have a.....sickness. Its called....Tuberculosis....it makes you cough a lot and when you cough you cough up blood. But there is one more thing. They say.......that I.....won't live to drive a car."

Kasey's eyes widened. "Oh..." she said, feeling a bit bad for him. She looked down at the ground.

"Yeah..." Chelsea said, glad that somebody finally understood what she was going through. She forced her body to move so that she was laying flat on the ground, clutching her side. It helped her get rid of the pain for some reason.

William felt bad for telling this to her and smiled. "Well, how about this. I'm gonna show you a secret that I never showed anyone else. But you have to keep it a secret, promise?"

 

Kasey looked up at him. "A secret...?" she said, tilting her head curiously.
