Vicksen Elementary School

"Yeah..." Kasey said and rubbed the back of her head. "Mom's not gonna be too happy..." her eyes suddenly widened. Why... did I just say "mom"...? she thought and looked down.

Chelsea couldn't help but glance back over at William. He seemed different than everybody else...

ohh... somebody got a crush...? Rose asked teasingly and laughed.

Shut up, Rose... Chelsea said and closed her eyes.

Aya started drawing in her notebook.

 

"Whats wrong?"

 

"N-Nothing... I just meant to say dad... that's all..." she said.

 

"Oh....I wished I had a dad. That would be sooo cool!" She said smiling

 

He forced himself to whisper "Hi." That word itself only sounded a bit strange because the accent didn't really affect it much.

 

Kasey smiled. And I wish I had a mom... she thought, but didn't say it out loud.

"Hi..." Chelsea whispered back and gave a shy smile.

 

"Maybe you could come to the oranphage with me after school? I am not allowed to go to other people houses...it might be fun!"

 

Jesse eventully woke up, his head aching still and his throat raw and sore from his fight for breath. What was that? he asked himself, his vision coming in and out of focus.

 

Kasey gave a small smile. "Sure," she said. She felt a little bad for Angel. Not having either one of her parents... that must be awful.

Rose laughed. He isn't looking so well if you ask me... she said and smirked.

Chelsea closed her eyes and laid her head on her desk. Shut up... I don't care what you think... she said back, a small headache forming in her head.

Aya didn't say anything. She just stared straight ahead.

 

"That...that was weird...." He croaked, the words grating against his throat.

 

"So do you know when class is over?"

 

Jesse pushed himself off the surface he was lying on slowliy and unsteadily got to feet.

 

The bell soon rang.

I guess now..." Kasey said and stood up, gathering her things. A tall boy who had obviously been held back a few years walked right by her and Kasey turned around, accidentally bumping into her and spilling all of her stuff onto the ground. The boy picked her up by the collar of her shirt. "Watch where you're going!" he shouted at her and she made a small whimper.

Chelsea heard the bell and got up, collecting her stuff, and walked out of the room.

Aya got up and silently walked out of the room.

 

"Leave her alone" she yelled at the boy

He was waiting by the door of Chelsea's door while elaning on the wall "Hey" He said when she walked out and walked besides her

 

"Hey," Chelsea said and smiled, continuing to walk.

"Buzz off, little girl..." the boy said and stared Kasey straight in the eyes. "You better watch where you're going next time..." he said and dropped her. "I'm watching you, short stuff..." he said and walked away. Kasey felt tears forming in her eyes and she was trembling.

Aya sat under a tree in front of the school hugging her doll close.

 

"Thats right! You'd better walk away!" She yelled at the boy as he walked and then went over to her "You okay?"


"How'd it you?"

 

"huh?" Chelsea asked.

Kasey felt tears falling down her cheeks and she closed her eyes. It's the first day of school and I already have a bully... she thought.

 

"The spirit? How did it handle you today? Well after I left"


"Aw cheer up! Dont worry either! I will make sure he doesnt hurt you!"

 

Kasey looked over at Angel and gave a small smile.

"She didn't do anything after that..." she said. "She just made Jess pass out and then nothing..."

Aya looked at the sky.

 

She returned her smile

"Well that is better then what she could of done"
