Chain of Memories Vexen's Death

Ive looked down all the archives and I hadnt found this topic but iI heard that his death is diiferent in Re:CoM than in CoM can anyone confirm it, and explain the difference? Thank you.

 

Well, as for myself (who has the attention span of a flea), I didn't notice HUGE differences, just a difference in the way that Axel goes about his orders.

If I'm not mistaken, in the RE: CoM cutscene, he attached, then snaps his fingers, like the attack was supposed to go off at a certain action.

But in the original CoM, Axel came up behind Vexen, and physically killed him.

This is what my memory is recalling. Someone correct some of my details if you need.​

 

Yes this is what I heard, *spoiler* that he slit his throat from behind*spoiler* I just wanted confirmation seeing as it is Disney and its bit extreme butt still rather awesome, if it were true.

 

In COM, Axel killed Vexen from behind. But in re:COM, while Vexen is about to tell Sora about Roxas, one of Axel's chakrams come out of nowhere and enter Vexen. Vexen plead to Azxel to not to kill him, buit Axel just said that he was a nobody, and that wasn't he glad he was going to dissapear. Vexen plead further, but Axel snaps his fingers and the chakram inside Vexen explodes into flames and kills him.

The speeches are pretty much the same. CoM has Axel throwing one Chakram from behind, all the chatting goes on, and then Axels swipes at Vexen with another Chakram, ending Vexen's existence.

Re:CoM is the same, only it ends with Axel snapping his fingers to burn Vexen. All the talking is the same, and Vexen even falls down just like in CoM, only burning as well.

in the manga he comes from behind and theres a little of a fight but it ends the same

Sorta, he just kinda throws his chakram through vexen and he&his shield dematerialize. So its more like Re:CoM then-
Its really sad ;___;

 

It didn't really enter him, it just sliced him badly and bounced off.

 

That was in RE:COM though

I hope they keep it in the english version but I doubt it, he'll probably say, "What is wrong with you people?! =/

 

Vexen got killed in a crueler way by being set on fire and I laughed cos I hate Vexen his laugh makes me want to kill him but I don't like Axel mich either. So I'd smile more if they both got killed in an explosion and my Zexy didn't die! I hated Axel for that.

 

lol its wierd axel is a traitor in com man i love the scene when he dies o gawd XD it was so funny hmmm i would put some mini clip bombs on his cloak and when he was talking at the gate i press the button to make them explode XDD omg that would b so funny but sora would freak out lol

 

I honestly thought that his death was messed up..he should have died like any other organazation memebr..falling in combat...but having a memebr of your own team just kill you with no regret what so ever is so wrong in so many levels

 

In Com, Axel sneaks up from behind and stabs Vexen with one of his chakrams.

But in Re: CoM, Axel throws one at Vexen, Putting a seal of fire on him, then activating it minutes later.

Am I the only one here who thought the death was funnyer and better than the orginal?

in COM Axel just stabs him and that it, now he esplodes in flames :3

 

I haven't seen Vexen's death in the original CoM. But when I saw it in the Re:CoM cutscenes I have to say I had a similar reaction to Sora XD

I found it kinda dark and dirsturbing, for Disney, even compared to the series as a whole. I mean, burning him alive! (Well, he doesn't actually exist but you get my drift.) I actually felt kinda sorry for Vexen, from the cutscenes I watched he's one of my favourite Organisation members, but his laugh was rather nasal so he had to die. :)
