    Even if it is true (which... it's Kotaku lol):
    Square rebrands Versus XIII with a less confusing & outdated title. Releasing a XIII title will seem outdated with XIII-2 and XIV out (though XIV is a whole different can of worms); a FFXV will get more publicity. So while "Versus XIII" might be dead, I doubt they'd toss aside a game that's been in production for so long, and that so many people are excited for.

    Then again, may be better to cut their losses and avoid a Duke Nukem Forever situation.

    And then throw down more money for ridiculous DLC like bikini's and boss fights that could have been cool side-quests but instead are put up for a price.
