Birth by Sleep Ven's status during BBS. **spoilers**

blah blah blah, just filling the first line with something irrelevant so people don't hover over the thread title and have it spoiled. Alright, that's good.

So MX created Vanitas from Ven's darkness, right?
He needed a heart of pure light and one of darkness to combine into or complete the X-blade.
So during BBS, does this make Ven a "Prince of Heart?" As in, if the Keyblade of Heart/Fake Keyblade/Heart Unlocker was around in BBS and Ven's heart was added to it, it would be completed?

Also, I was going to ask why he couldn't just use one of the Princesses of Heart and another heart of pure darkness to make the X-Blade, but I just realized as I typed this that it would mean he wouldn't be able to make a Keyblade of One's Heart.

So my true second question is: Why the Nomura give Ventus the nickname of Ven? Ventus means "wind" right? When information about TAV first came out, did Nomura just say Ven was a nickname to make us think there was something special about his real name?

 

I don't think that that makes Ven a Prince of Heart because originally he did have darkness in his heart. He basically isn't a whole person without his darkness, he was able to survive having his heart separated into light and darkness but he still isn't whole. I assume that all the princesses of heart are born with a heart of pure light and thus had no darkness to begin with.

I guess he just gave him the nickname because Ven would be easier to remember. The only thing special about his name is that it means wind and Sora's name means sky so people would assume there was a connection between the two.
