Vector to the Heavens

Xero laughed at the sudden tension that was building around them, "This is going to be fun." A twisted smile suddenly grew on her face and her eyes flashed orange for a split second.

 

Xena squatted down, using her toes and balls of her feet to support her. Years of hunting conditioned her legs just right where she didn't shake or lose balance. Her head tilted to the side and a broken, twisted smile parted her lips, eyes wide. Veins on her neck throbbed hard.
"Performance. Welcome. The Circus. Red...
CIRCO ROJO."
Fingers twitched.

 

Gexln raised an eyebrow at Xena's actions. "What's up with circus girl?" he asked. He couldn't remember a time where Xena had acted this way, then again he really didn't pay much attention to many members in the Organization when he had been in it.

 

Cat smiled, just thinking about Luna at school was hilarious.

"Well I-"

She stopped when she saw Xero and Gelxn down below. As everyone made their moves, she stood up and turned her music back on. If they were going to have to fight members of Destati, she wanted to be ready.

"Oh, I'm so scared of the punks in black," she said sarcastically. She grinned.

 

Suddenly, pages surrounded them. The pages were glowing, obviously they'd been trapped. A closer look at the pages showed that there was text on them, text in another language.
"Nemo suus ', semper dimicantibus." A voice suddenly said. A girl appeared, glad in silver and white. "Nobody's, always fighting." She said, which was probably a translation of what she'd just said. "Those pages are the Scripture's. On them, is my oath." She smiled, her smile was both beautiful and... intimidating. "My oath to kill all Nobody's!" The pages started to glow brighter. A strange sword was in her hand - a Keyblade. This was a Keyblade wielder.

Lagahax suddenly heard a commotion outside. He got up and went to look. He saw several people there, and it looked as if a fight was about to take place.

 

Xero only laughed, "Well whadda know? Xena's got a Keyblade..." Her eyes became a bright orange, the darkness inside of her began to form a black figure behind her, almost like a shadow. Xahanort's Guardian was what the darkness had condured up.
"The darkness will destroy them all!" Her voice wasn't just her own, it was Xahanort's heartless's voice as well. Her scythe formed in her hand as well, but this time the blades were as black as night.

You are nothing without my power. Let me take control, Xero, let me give you the power you've always wanted.

A voice spoke in Xero's head but she only ignored its pleads, "No, I won't let you control me again." She said quietly to herself.

 

Xena snapped out of her trance and grabbed her head, hiding in her chest.
"Why does my head hurt so much?" she stated, unknowing of the other side that took over.
She sat back and rubbed the back of her head.
"Kitty-Cat, where are you?"
The female rocked back and forth a little caressing her head, oblivious to the fighting tension of the others. She had a tendancy to black out and go to her other side when conflict or tension arose, but also lost it on certain occasions, waking up with a headache.

 

Tori turned away from Maleficent, and said "Not today" then left. She ran and ran until she stopped at a clock tower. She looked up, but she was too tired to see what could be up there. So instead she slid down the wall, breathless.

 

Cat looked down at Xero, now being consumed by a darkness that she'd never encountered before. In a way, it almost reminded her of Xemnas; and yet, it was something completely different, black as night and cold with hate. She was still in position, but as she looked around at Luna, now seeming completely different from the girl she knew, and the others, she knew it was time to take action. With her free hand, she began to unzip the jacket on top of her tee and sigh.

"You see," she yelled, loud enough for Xero and Gexln to hear. "This crap is exactly why I left in the first place." As the front of the jacket blew open in the wind, she stepped up onto the edge and let herself fall. About halfway down, she straightened herself and slid her thumb across the screen of her MP3 player. Right before she hit the ground, her finger slid across in one big line and she yelled, "Aero!" A miniature tornado swirled around her legs, allowing her to hover a foot above the ground and straighten herself before the spell wore off. She planted her feet firmly on the ground, a few feet from the steps of the tower and smirked at the two members of Destati; she knew that she was probably digging her own grave, but what difference did it make? Dying doesn't scare someone who isn't technically alive.

"You're all so damn crazy that you can't possibly hope to be whole again. Between the darkness and corruption, no heart would ever manage to last in your bodies."

She took a few steps forward, spells at the ready, and got into position. There was no telling how this was going to go.

 

Xena looked up at Cat spitting out spells. It had been so long that she forgot how powerful Organization members really were. She knew they were powerful, but hanging out with regular people dumbed down her realization of their power.
Do I really remember how to fight well? It's been so long. Maybe I should go...
She stood up and Fleetfoot put on her metal claws for her.
Well, it's now or never.
The female quickly jumped into Cat's aero and she flew with her comrad up into the air.
"Mind if I catch a ride?" her childish smile returned.
She used aero on herself to fly even higher and landed on the roof of a building next to Cat. The high ground was always the best ground to be on.
"I'm ready when you are, Kitty-Cat."
Xena was bent over the building standing like a fox with her hands over the edge, the claws clearly showing.

 

Cat smiled at her friend, glad to see that she wasn't nearly as different as she had seemed just moments ago.

"Oh, not at all."

Once Luna was on the building leading into the underground tunnels, she smiled. At least she wouldn't be doing this alone.
At least things might not end as badly as they did all those years ago.

 

"Darkness is what makes the heart stronger." Xero said along with the voice of Xehanort's heartless, "Darkness sprouts within it, it grows, consumes it. Such as its nature." Xehanort's orange eyes glowed in Xero's, she was lucky enough to still have control over herself. "Let the darkness take you. It won't hurt you, just accept it." Xero said as she held her hand out to the two girls.

 

Cat chuckled softly to herself. She let Xero finish her plea and then looked on at the girl, consumed by the darkness within whatever was left of who she used to be.

"You're right, darkness does consume the heart, but only if you let it. Every heart has its share of light and darkness, and every person has to choose between them eventually."

She put her left hand in her jacket pocket and looked down, away from Xero.

"I'm sorry to tell you that I made my choice long before..." she hesitated, almost choking up at the next bit. "Before I lost my heart, to your 'wonderful' darkness." She continued to look away from the girl, hoping she could push the memories of sadness away. It shouldn't be so hard, but she was struggling to keep her eyes dry. They almost burned from her pain, but there was nothing she could do. She clenched her hands into fists and suddenly looked up at the girl, the redness in her eyes in stark contrast to her blue irises.

"So why don't you just go back to whatever hole you crawled out of and leave me the hell alone?" She screamed, but she couldn't help it. And the anger inside her was only made worse by the fact that these feelings were nothing but a lie. A terrible, hopeless lie that she was constantly telling herself to try and ease this 'pain'.

 

Xero chuckled, and it turned into laughter, "Fool! The Darkness will never leave you. It will only grow within you until you have become so weak, that the only thing that you will have left to turn to is the darkness!" Xero's hands suddenly combusted into dakr flames and she began to levetate along with Xehanot's Guardian roaring behind her. She had had enough talk, she was ready to fight.

Xero suddenly flash-stepped towards Cat and forced her palm into her chest creating a pulse of darkness that went through Cat's body.

 

Cat was caught off guard by Xero's hands suddenly turning into flame and before she had a chance to cast Reflect, she felt a cold hand push right into her chest. She grunted, unable to force a scream of pain, and cringed at the numbness that began to cover her whole body.

What... the hell is this? She wanted desperately to ask for help, to question her condition, but it was enough of a struggle to just keep breathing. Her chest got heavier with each desperate inhale and reluctant exhale. Suddenly she felt her arms begin to move, but she wasn't trying to move them. She turned toward Luna, even though she didn't want to. She flicked the screen of her MP3 player, but that was the last thing on her mind.

Dammit, Luna run!

"You know," she said, though that wasn't what she wanted to scream out to her friend. "A girl could get used to this." She tapped the screen twice and suddenly a blue ball of flame was heading towards Luna. She didn't recognize it as one of her usual spells, but right now there wasn't much familiarity in her situation at all.

She was being controlled... no, consumed by this darkness, and there was no way out.

 

Gexln laughed. "Now this is something interesting. Xero, darkness is the most powerful thing in all the worlds without a doubt, but only if you have complete control over it" he explained. He then turned to look at the others. "You're all so very weak, fearing the darkness. Such frail, pathetic creatures you all are" he insulted.

Kaxar was silent, gritting her teeth in disgust. "Another who thinks the darkness is all there is..." she said grimly. Not many things caused Kaxar to get angry, let alone want to fight, but darkness was one of them. "I made a promise to a friend once. I promised that i'd show the worlds and all the people in it that darkness isn't as strong or great as some people think. I promised that i would free the worlds of darkness. And Xero, i'm going to start with YOU!" she yelled angrily, summoning her twin blades.

 

As she heard everyone's individual comments about the darkness, all Cat could think about was what she might do like this; who she would hurt. She had gotten used to a "normal" life again, and now these damn Nobodies had gotten in the way again. She wanted to just conjur up a portal and walk away from it all like last time, but she couldn't. She was scared of what she was capable of - or rather, what this darkness was capable of - and no matter how hard she tried, there was no breaking free from it.

She tried not to think about the people closest to her, yet those were the only thoughts playing in her head. No matter what she had to do, she didn't want anything to happen to them.

For a split second, she could almost feel her fingers twitch when she wanted them to, but she hardly noticed that over the recurring thoughts of what might happen next.

OOC: And that's where I'll have to get off tonight. I'll already be in big trouble if my mom catches me posting this. xD

 

Making his way through Twilight Town, Shiro was busy trying to figure out what to do now. With help from his dream eaters, he'd managed to leave Traverse Town and ended up where his is now, the thing was that he had no clue what to do here. I guess I can relax a bit before doing something else. He thought as he continued walking.

OOC: Finally got a post in :). The action happening in Twilight Town right?

 

Xero smirked as Cat was now slowly being consumed by the darkness that she had exposed her to.

Xero turned to Gexln, "And I have almost full control over the powers Xehanort had given me..." She clenched her fist that was glowing with the darkness.

Just not Him.... She thought to her self as she suddenly saw Kaxar summon her keyblades.

OOC: Wait what? Xero isn't inside Cat, the darkness inside Cat is beginning to control her itself due to Xero exposing Cat to her darkness. Lol

 

As soon as she saw Xero go at Cat, Luna cast a dark spell over her, shadow over her where it was cascading off into the air and gave her the form of a fox.
"Let's fight fire with fire, aye?" she smiled.
As the ball of fire flew towards her she front-flipped over it. It seemed that time had slowed down, and she planned her angle of attack. When the position was perfect, she used aeroga to funnel and shoot her out as fast as a bullet. Still upside-down, she dug her dark and metal claws into the shoulder of Xehanort's Guardian. She flung herself over to hover behind ir, scratching the shoulder even more, and dug her supar sharp, dark fangs into the base of where the shoulder and neck meet.
