Site News vB Version Upgrade - Notes

Hey folks, bout that time again for another version update. We (Misty and myself) have upgraded us from 4.0.7 to 4.1.3. What does this mean?

- Custom Profiles have returned. If yours looks messed up its because it remembers some of the settings when we previously had this feature.
-Security patches.

To edit your set up your custom profile, go to the "Customize my profile" tab on your profile.



To disable this feature, go to Settings --> General Settings --> Uncheck the box that says "Show User Customizations:"

Feel free to report any problems you may see. Currently noted problems are:

-Gallery is offline
-Few style/color problems
-Problems with non-default styles

 

If you find any style problems please screencap them and post them, I can't find them all by myself. ;o

Two things here, the view conversation links is aligned with the pins tab and you can't properly click it, and also the default colour for the pages buttons is black like the background of the theme- as is the text next to them. But my screen is too dark so it might not be as difficult to notice them as I do.
Whenever I save changes after I customize the profile there is an error:
Warning: system() [function.system]: Cannot execute a blank command in [path]/ajax.php(1304) : eval()'d on line 2
Changes are saved anyways.

In addition, the who's online feature in the index seems to have a problem, since it is showing array. The index itself is kinda messed up, actually.

And what's with all the borders... they ran out of features and started adding borders... @_@

 

I, too, noticed that users online bug.

EDIT: The bottom, where the birthdays and statistics are, is also messed up for the Nobodies' Reprieve and KHV 4.0 V2 themes.

Instead of it being side to side, it's one under another.

I'm in the UK, GMT 0, and I stay up way to early in summer for my own good ...

Another thing you mught be able to see in my screenshot is the fact that the left hand side of the active module as a bit of a dark line which only seems to be a few pixels wide :v.

 

Don't you mean stay up too late?

- What's Going On? box fixed across all styles, that was my bad, I fixed it last night for KHV 4.0 Final Mix and forgot to do the rest.
- 'View Your Conversation with ______' link moved upwards to prevent conflicts with Pins tab.
- Pins tab not following user customizations: unfortunately I don't think it will, the mod hasn't yet been updated for vB 4.1 (though it functions fine, since nothing but the user customization thing was really added). When it is we will of course update it, for now just bear with it, sorry. :c

Will look into black text & error message.

That just leaves that weird "Viewing Attachment" bug.
If I recall correctly, the only time it should actually say that is when viewing another person's album.

Aha, this update.

Well, the Reply to Thread buttons are finally showing up as rounded on Opera, which is an achievement. I see good things in store for this version.

Okay I'm having a problem with the edit window it's displaying the codes in the new khbbsfm thread wrong, some of the codes are getting all jumbled up can the staff fix this please?

 

Take a screenshot and post it.

It'll make it easier for the administrators to help.

 

Slightly different kinda problem, but I can't customize my profile back to default. I'll click on the 'default' button, nothing happens, I'll click on it and press save, and while it'll save, it changes nothing.

That looks more like a formatting issue, as the codes are displaying fine later in the post. Just edit the post and add spaces/new lines where you need them.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. x___x Will look into it, for now I think just deleting everything in the little boxes will do the trick.

 

After logging in, it sets the default theme as KHV 4.0 V2, but the default is KHV 4.0: Final Mix.

 

It hasn't done that for me...
Have you checked your settings just to make sure?
I mean mine is completely fine. lol
