Birth by Sleep Vanitas Ventus theory

Wow this is all so crazy =O. I cannot wait to find out the truth behind it all! I recognized Riku's fighting mannerisms in Vanitas right away. I completely hadn't noticed his outfit is exactly like Heartless Riku's until then. lol. But when i saw that left handed way he held the keyblade and the little hand wavy thing I jumped out of my chair and screamed "RIKU!!!!!!!!!!". lol. But after a millisecond I realized that the voice coming from the character soooo did not belong to Mamoru, therefore there was no way it could be Riku *Asides from the facts that he was like 5 back then, there's no way he'd return to the darkness, and wtc would be he doing at that place*

I think something happened to Ven when he was 'erased'. I don't wanna say that his heart ended up in Sora because that's a stretch. I mean how many hearts can the kid hold inside of him for pete's sake! I also don't think Vanitas is related to Riku.

I'm starting to kinda think that Vanitas is a puppet Master Xehanort made of himself *kinda like the organization made Xion so they could have another keyblade*. So then we could assume that puppets of Master Xehanort have those sort of mannerisms and outfits. So when Riku Becomes a puppet of Xehanort in the 1st game, he too adapts those mannerisms *then again Riku had the same fighting stance in the beginning of the game if you chose to fight him. and back then he had no connection to Xehanort*

Oh yeah, and I think Master Xehanort is Xehanort. Well, I think Terra obviously becomes xehanort, but I think somehow Master xehanort is using him as a puppet. Like.... idk. While Xehanort looks a lot like Terra, i think he still reeks of Master Xehanort. Idk... i guess I don't really know what I'm talking about. Ignore me.

 

Would you be so kind as to explain how Vanitas existed before Ven was frozen, then, as shown in the exact same scene where Xehanort freezes him?

 

Could have happend before that. iN the trailer they do some stuff in the keyblade wars. it seems like it happens late. so vanitas is still possible to be somewhat like ven. dont put this theory to rest. ur statement doens't make total sense.

 

Maybe Vanitas is Ven's lost lost twin brother. I'm also reserving that theory on the connection between Xehanort and Terra.

 

Hmmmmm Something tells me that Nomura isn't exactly a "long lost brother" type. Idk though, you could be right. *shrugs* i guess we'll just have to find out

 

There is a problem with this theory of Terra being Ansem's Apprentice: You fight Terra in Final Mix+ as a secret boss. So, obviously, how could Terra be Xehanort if his heartless and nobody were both killed, and yet Terra's body still existed. So that makes Vanitas' chances of being Apprentice Xehanort higher.

Of course its possible they will just ignore that that fight ever happened.

 

It's already been said that that fight is uncanon and whether the Lingering Sentiment and Terra are the same is uncertain and irrelevant. But what he said IS canon.
It's widely believed that it's not Terra, but his Keyblade acting on it's own which is why it talks wierdly.

 

no that is at the start(i watched an interview on youtube)and I belive that it is a test.
thats how aqua and terra got there keychains but because ven failed he never got one.

 

Yes. I read somewhere that the secret ending was the test the 3 heroes took to become keyblade masters

 

Yea man that thing wasn't supposed to be an actual fight fromt he story. Though wat he said may i think is true. I'm like 95% sure about the terra apprentice xehanort thing. ive been on board with this theory for a long time and have thought of the possibilities.

 

Where did it say that was the test?
TVA was sent after MX and the apprentice, not as a test (unless Eraqus and MX had the whole thing planned from the beginning, which to me, it doesn't look like) The original story originally said the secret ending took place in the beginning and TVA split up afterwards to search for MX. But that's been changed to the end of the game. We've even seen a version of the secret ending in one of the recent BBS trailers, except without the armors. So yeah, KH2:FM+'s secret ending will be in the game.

 

Ah. Well then, I would guess he is Apprentice Xehanort, because he looks so much like him.

But I probably shouldn't wildly speculate, considering the game has a long while before it'll come out.

I'm pretty sure it was on kh2.uk somewhere either in Nomura's blog, his comment in the latest issue of a japanese magazine that featured birth by sleep, or somewhere in the text of the magazine layout.

I don't think you know what I'm talking about. I forgot to quote the other guy, im talking about the fight sora vs terra in kh2 fm. Im not talking about watever u were talking about.

I doubt Vanitas looks like sora, but rather that he will look like Riku. Look at his clothes, it's the same as Riku when he's in dark mode in CoM and KH1-end.
That.... "skirt"... I will always laugh at that.

Edit: saw that someone else also said this before but i shall let this stay as some ppl (like me) don't read all pages before posting.

So how about Ven --> Sora and Vanitas --> Riku somehow? minus the keyblade powers.
