Van Helsing

"My balance is fine." Hannah smiled. "You're welcome." She was back with Edward before Van Helsing could blink. She sighed, leaning her head back. "I can't believe I just said all that...."

Beatrice had formed several different faces in her head before she noticed that the time had flown with Hannah's story. The sun will be rising soon. I wonder if we'll be stopping or continuing through the day. I'd much rather we stopped and let the horses rest.

 

Van Helsing was silent, thinking about all Hannah had said.

 

"That was good," Edward sighed. "But I know Jinx will still want to talk to you alone later, whenever we stop."

He leaned back, stretching out completely on the benchlike seat of the carriage. "I'm going to rest, though," Edward yawned. "Care to join me?" he asked, lifting an arm out of her way.

 

Of course she will. I'm not sure I'm up for another round. Hannah moved next to Edward. "You sleep. I'm not tired."

"How much farther do you want to go?" Beatrice called to Van Hesling. Though she really wanted to ask 'when are we stopping'.

 

OOC: think that lestat de lioncourt is the hottest vampire ever!

BIC: "Whenever you'd like!" Van Helsing replied. "Or when the sun comes up! Whichever happens first!"

 

"My pleasure," Edward agreed, wrapping his arms around her, pulling her cold body close to him, fitting against the shape of his chest. "Thank... you..." he murmured, his words slurred as he kissed the nape of her neck, yawning.

 

OOC: EDWARD CULLEN IS!! >=}

Hannah's cheeks heated. "For what?"

"Let's wait for the sun." Beatrice decided. She knew it would be best to cover as much ground as they could quickly.

Of course she's not going to sleep. John grumbled to himself in his thoughts. This makes for more complications.

 

OOC: edward??!!! *barfs all over the place* ewww!!!!

BIC: Van Helsing nodded and then turned around. "You're doing wonderfully," he called down to Lexi, smiling.

 

Edward found himself already half-asleep. "For..." he began, "...for being... here... that's it..."

 

"I'll stay with you then." Hannah said, not thinking or speaking what she really felt.

Beatrice smiled. "She and Sorin are a little competative."

Edward smiled, finally falling asleep.

Beatrice followed Van Helsing to the side of the path after the sun had risen for a couple hours. "I'm going to take the horses for water." She told Van Helsing as she was getting off the carriage. She could hear Carl snoring slightly and giggled. She went over to Sorin and stroked his neck. "You don't have to give it so much. You've got help you know." She fixed a knot in the gelding's mane.

Hannah drew up the hood of the cloak Beatrice had given her and, careful not to wake Edward, stepped out of the carriage.

 

Edward slept on, his back and his mind thankful for the rest.

 

Van Helsing jumped down to help Beatrice. "Do you think you can take all four on your own?"

 

Lestat saw the carriages stop a little while later, catching up with them. The sun was brightening on the horizon, and he shook his head, finding the shadow of a nearby tree to become.

Ah, she's lovely, Lestat sighed in his mind, catching site of Beatrice. And that must be the hunter... he doesn't look like much at all. He'll be fun, too.

 

"I'll take two at a time." Beatrice said, still smiling at Sorin. "I don't want them to get into any squalls." She turned around to look at Van Helsing. "I could take Lexi with Sorin if you'd like."

"Are you sure you want to go alone?" Hannah asked before Van Helsing could answer.

"Oh, right...." Beatrice thought for a moment. "You can come Hannah."

Hannah cringed. "I don't think I'm the best person to be alone with you."

John smirked. So she's interesting in this girl as well?

 

"Sounds good," Van Helsing smiled. He looked at Hannah. "Can you get Edward, then, since you can 't go with her? I'd like to talk to him."

 

Lestat followed Beatrice, mentally exhalting at how stupid Van Helsing and Hannah were to let her go alone.

 

"Can't you wake up Carl to go with her?" Hannah grumbled at Van Helsing as she watched Beatrice go with Lexi and Sorin. "And no, I can't get Edward; he's sleeping."

Beatrice led Lexi on her right while Sorin followed on her left. "You really shouldn't overwork yourself." She chided Sorin. "It wouldn't be a big deal if you slowed down." Sorin nudged Beatrice's shoulder in repsonse. "I'm not going to make you. Just think of your team. They've got to keep up with you so make sure you don't wear them out."
