Van Helsing

"Are we ready?" Beatrice asked, taking the reigns.

 

'What is it, then? " Van Helsing whispered, nodding at Beatrice. He moved the carriage so she could follow him.

 

What the hell are you talking about? Edward channeled back to the vampire, trying not to cry aloud at the pain of the voice in his head. What are you doing?

 

"I don't know, just her in general, not if she'll tell me about it." Jinx cracked her knuckles for something to do with her hands, "I mean how many things can attack her? She doesn't eat enough. She's young. She's..." she stopped and sighed. "I'm just worried about her all around. I don't like how much trouble she's attracting to herself." (OOC: Hannah = Bella in trouble magnetness :D*hides*)

 

Lestat chuckled in Edward's mind, knowing he was making the werewolf's head rattle in pain.

I told you what it is already, he spoke. Don't worry... your mindreading powers are now just ten times more painful to execute, you'll heal slower, and you'll tired easier... all thanks to the smallest nick from my special teeth...

 

Beatrice didn't bother trying to listen to Van Helsing and Jinx's conversation. By the wispering she guessed she wasn't supposed to hear. I hope Hannah will be okay. Edward, too. The blush returned when she thought of Edward. And I wish he'd put a shirt on.

 

"I see," Van Helsing nodded, leading Lexi out of the city and onto the dirt traveling road. "Try not to worry too much, okay?"

 

Edward panicked slightly, turning his arms around, looking at his bare chest, trying to see if Lestat was telling the truth or not.

 

Check your stomach, Edward, Lestat snapped loudly, and smiled when he felt the werewolf cry out at the pain of his voice.

 

"Uh huh..." Jinx replied, vaguely. "Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?" she asked, out of the blue. "What the?" she looked down at the carrige, hearing Edward. "Are you okay?" she called, loud enough for him to hear.

 

"B.astard!" Edward swore aloud when he saw the small gash along his hard stomach. He had to move Hannah over slightly to run his hand on it. The cut was perfect it seemed, as though Lestat timed his tackle of Edward, the direct angle of just one of his teeth, and how much damage that little but would do.

Edward tried to retort in his mind, but it ached to the point of splitting open. "I wouldn't come near me again if I were you, Lestat," he whispered aloud. "Be very careful."

 

Whatever you like, Edward, Lestat murmured, and then left the werewolf's mind.

 

"Shoot," Van Helsing replied, and then added, "rhetorically, of course!"

 

"Nothing," Edward said, raising his voice so they could hear him. "My back is healing, is all... hurts a bit."

 

"Okay." Jinx replied to Edward and then looked at Van Helsing. "Okay, first, when and why did you start hunting?" she asked. "Just curious, by the way, I'm not being accusing."

 

Beatrice sighed. Maybe at our next stop I'll work on my sword skills a bit more. I want to help as much as I can.

Hannah moaned. No.... John, please don't! Stop.... Stop it!

 

"Ive been like this since I can remember," Van Helsing replied. "I'm a murderer and a man of God, hated and revered... but I don't remember my past. The farthest back I can remember is fighting with the Romans when that city back there was first created..."

 

"Hannah?" Edward jumped slightly. He tapped her cheek lightly. "You okay? Wake up, dear."

 

Jinx looked confused. "Wait, when Rome was created?" she repeated, even she couldn't remember that far back. "How old are you?" she asked.

 

“Louis, Louis, Louis...Still whining, Louis! Are you quite finished? I've had to listen to that for centuries!

Lestat laughed, suddenly nostalgic again, listening to the voices passing by the house.
