Van Helsing

Jinx nodded. "Okay." she thought for a moment. "oh, how are you?"

Carl laughed, nervously, "Van Helsing, I wasn't saying your equal to him. I said i thought you were bad, but after seeing what he did... nope."

 

"I'm fine." Beatrice tried to smile. "Hannah doesn't want me with her right now though."

 

Jinx nodded, understanding why. "That's because you smell good." she explained. "And Hannah is being a fool and not eating, so she's thristy." she tapped her llips with her forefinger, "Maybe I should pick something up for her. It won't be what she's used to, but it'll be something. What do you think?"

 

"When do you want to leave?" Edward asked, coming into the stables once more, his arms now free of any gorey burden. "We will wait for Hannah to get better, right?"

 

"I don't know," Van Helsing replied. "It would unconvienient to stay for another day. What do you think, Carl?"

 

Carl looked at ths place the bloody body had been a moment before, there was still a stain. "I think with all the trouble you guys cause, we should probably go as soon as possible. Of course if Ms. Hannah can't move, we should stay... but as soon as she's okay to go, let's go."

 

Beatrice cringed. "I... smell good?" She forced the thought out of her mind. "I guess if it would help her feel better, then you should. But maybe... you should wait for less of a crowd." She said, referring to the people in the streets.

 

"Why would they notice?" Jinx asked. She made sure to look Beatice in the eyes. "I don't hurt people." she assured her. "I'd be going into the forest."

 

"Go check on her, Edward," Van Helsing said. "I will hook up Sorin."

He gave up arguing; if it was his choice, he would have left Hannah by now, or just dumped her into the carriage and rambled on despite what damage it may do.

"You better have something good, Carl," he spoke now as Edward left the stables once more for the inn. "About Dracula... death options and whereabouts... that's a good start."

 

Edward thought as he walked back to the stables: I should tell Van Helsing about what Charlotte let me know... it's vital information. But he and his thoughts are not being very kind to Hannah right now... I will keep my information till I see fit...

Edward saw Jinx standing outside the room with Beatrice and he approached slowly as to try and not interrupt them too much. "How is she, ladies?" he asked.

 

"But won't it look strange if you're carrying a... corpse... back here?" Beatrice asked as Edward came up. "Oh, she's fine, I'm sure. I haven't heard anything, so I'm guessing she's still sleeping." She answered.

 

"Do you both mind if I go inside and check on her?" Edward asked. "The sun is starting to get to the point of the beginning of sunset... and Van Helsing wants to go, though he really doesn't say it aloud."

 

Jinx laughed at Beatrice's question. "Yes, but not if it didn't look like a corpse." she answered, smiling slyly. "Maybe it'll look like a bag, or a baby, or something. I'm good at that kind of thing." she looked at Edward. "I'm going to get Hannah something to eat, kay?"

Carl nodded, "I have some ideas, yeah. don't worry about it Van Helsing. You handle the guns and stuff. I'll handle the thinking half of it." he grinned at his old friend.

 

"Deal," Van Helsing sighed, going over to Sorin and leading her outside to the other side of the stable. Lexi waited patiently as her new friend joined her to pull the carriage.

"Well, this is going to be interesting..." he muttered, glad he amused himself.

 

Edward opened the door to the inn's room slowly so as not to disturb Hannah if she was still sleeping. It was dark, just as he'd left it with the heavy curtains closed against the strong afternoon sun. Hannah was still fast asleep, and Edward chuckled at her trousled, messy hair and slightly open mouth. He sat down next to her, trying even to hold his breath enough to stop her from waking. He ran a gentle hand across her cheek, admiring how chilled her skin was against his. He smiled when he turned slightly, and he nudged her shoulder.

"Hannah," he whispered. "Are you ready to get up yet?"

 

"be back in a bit." Jinx said to Beatice, already jogging down the stairs. "don't worry about the whole corspe thing, I'll make sure no one notices."

Carl leaned on the carrige and looked up at the sky, letting his mind wander.

Jinx jogged past them, "Hey guys, I'll be back in a little bit." she said, waving slightly.

 

"No," Hannah mumbled, still half-asleep. "Go away...." She rolled onto her side, pulling the pillow over her head.

Beatrice bit her lip, still wondering how Jinx was going to manage this scheme.

 

Van Helsing laughed to himself. "I was talking about how we are going to arrange our little group in these carriages," he spoke, looking back at Carl. "Any seating preferences on your end?"

 

Edward laughed. "You sound defiantly better," he smirked, turning her rather sharply so she had to look up at him. "That's a good thing, right?"

 

Hannah let out a small whimper of pain at the sudden movement. "It still hurts...." She adjusted herself to a more comfortable position before continuing, "We can go now; I'm sure Van Helsing is anxious to leave as soon as possible."
